Chapter 5

Katy's P.O.V

We sit in silence throughout the drive and as we pass a hospital I think if Hope should get checked up, and Grace was just playing with Stella and Hope was in my arms.

" Hey Katy you've got Hope checked up right"

" no I should've"

" don't worry" she says as she takes a U turn to the hospital we passed.

5 minutes later

We get to the hospital and get down from the car

" get down kids" I say as they get unbuckled and get down from the car

" mommy where are we"

" a place just like the place at the daycare you go to when you're sick just bigger"

I look at her and it looks like she's thinking of when she was at the nurse at daycare and I was at work so John had to pick her up.

We go wait in the waiting room till they call either my name or John.

I was waiting for John to get a number so we could get Hope in so I sit on one of the chairs with Hope on my lap and Angela came and sat next to me.

" Kate I'm sure she'll be fine"

" I hope so"

5 minutes later

A nurse comes in the waiting room

Mr and Mrs Mayer - she calls

" here" John says as he gets up and I get up after him

" mama I wanna come"

" just stay here with Stella for a bit" I tell her

" come here " Angela tells her

We get to the doctors room and the nurse tells us to wait 5 minutes and she leaves

The room smelt like medical things

I lay Hope on the bed and just seconds after I move away she cries so I sit on the bed with her on my lap and she stops crying.

The doctor comes in

" hello Mr and Mrs Mayer, I'm doctor Mark how may I help you"

" just wanted to check up on this little one to make sure she's ok cause she's been gone for a couple of days"

He starts wearing gloves then comes closer to her and checks her temperature heart beat and just everything. he holds her hand and she jumped and I got scared thinking she'd jump off my lap

" may you please leave the room just for some minutes"

Without saying a word both John and I get up

Johns P.O.V

The doctor tells Katy and I to get out of the room so we do as told and there were four chairs out the room so Katy and I sit and she lays on my chest and I hear sniffs

" Katy she'll be fine don't worry"

She cries more and I kiss her cheek and rub her back to calm her down

" John" she says in her crying voice

" no Katy I know what you'll say and this isn't your fault"

She sighs as her tears fall on my shirt

5 minutes later

Katy calms down and the doctor calls us to come in

" no need to worry" he says
