Chapter 14

Katy's P.O.V

Hours pass by quick and at 9 am i get a call from a unknown number

" hello is this the parent of Grace Mayer"

" Yes, her mother"

" oh well I'm sorry to tell you but she's been to the nurse because she was feeling sick and when she came back to class she's been crying but wouldn't say why, I think it'd be better if you'd take her home"

" ok thank you"

" John get up, and get Hope I'll be in the car"

" who was that"

" Graces teacher."

I get in Johns car and wait for him and I put Hope in my lap, he starts the car then drives off to Grace's school.

We get to the school and get down and walk as fast we can to the class after pushing the paparazzi out of our way

I knock the door and her teacher opens it

" where is she"

" right there"

She points to Grace who's laying on the foor and covering her face

I can't bend down so John picks her up

" Grace what happened"

" daddy where's mommy"

" I'm right here baby"

She turns around and looks at me and I carry her on my hip

" she's dismissed"

" thank you "

We leave and get in the car then buckle up

Instead of going the way we usually go home John takes a turn

" why'd you take a turn"

" we're going somewhere"

I turn the radio on and hum along to the songs that were on

Minutes later we get to a empty beach

" John are you serious? This isn't the time to come to the beach"

" whys that. it's the absolute most perfect time to come" he says and he gets out of the car and takes a basket out from the trunk with blankets

We get to a empty spot and I lay on the sand with Hope in the middle and Grace next to her with John on the other side

Johns P.O.V

I cover our cold bodies with one blanket on top of us and one under and cover Hope with her tiny blanket

We all lay for about 2 minutes and don't say a word, I knew I had to say something about what happened earlier and so does Katy so I start off

" Grace is there anything bothering you"

" no daddy"

" why were you crying" Katy asks her

Grace looks at me

" why are you looking at me goofball answer mommys question"

" nothing"

" you can't cry without a reason" I say

" a guy with a camera ran in class and said things about mommy"

" you mean questions, or said things" Katy asks her

" mm both"

" paps" I say

" Grace I'm taking you to a new school ok" Katy tells Grace

" Kate you can't make a decision that fast"

" true but don't you think it's for the best"

" yeah"

We sit there for a couple of hours then Grace and I get up to get some ice cream and later on Grace just wanted to get in the water but instead we all just walked by the shore

2 pm

After a long stressful day we get home and I decide to go out with Grace and walk around in the park to talk things through

We walk around for around 30 minutes then deff have to stop for ice cream then continue walking around for a hour and around every 10 minutes people would stop us for a picture cause the place just kept on getting crowded

" daddy why do people take pictures with you but mommy more"

" this is what happens when your famous and yes darling I know your mother is way more famous than I am. this is exactly why I wanted to get you here"

" why daddy"

" sometimes there are many people in the world you have to ignore. don't talk to anyone and don't let anyone ruin your dreams. follow your dreams and take that as a lesson"

" huh"

" you'll understand when you're a bit older baby"

We walk around and i start to feel tired and a bit dizzy so we head back to the car and I drive back home.
