What was all that, that crystal, that monster with the shadows, and what was that he was saying about the king? The king already knew about this attack. He knew that it could happen and said nothing. Why is everyone so odd? Denis was so angry, but so helpless. He couldn’t do anything. Although this victory was a strong one, what if there are more attacks, what if they don’t stop, will the human race finally fall to the darkness? Maybe it was all in my head. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding.

After the days had passed, Dimitri followed Denis wherever he went. He didn’t follow because he was clueless or scared, but because he had no where else to go. The tower that him and his friends stayed in was abandoned the day they left and they couldn’t go back to it. Even though they have no way to contact one another, they are able to pass on words of info to each other through other Royal Mercenaries. They also knew that if they didn’t know where else to go, that they could go back to their old home, the home that was forgotten and left behind to disappear.

The two of them, as well as the survivors of Denis’ group traveled miles upon miles, helping villages and towns that couldn’t be helped or were forgotten. Although it wasn’t Denis’ job to help any of these people, he felt a strong bond of protection to them. He feels the same feeling as us Royal Mercenaries always feel when people are in need of aid. Maybe that is why Dimitri feels confident to stand, help and fight by his side without worrying or even having doubt.

Just a little more than 2 weeks had passed since the battle at the Gateway to Hell, they finally made it to the walls to the capital, Estonia of the kingdom. As they began to slowly reach, Dimitri realized that Denis began to become a bit antsy as they began to reach closer.

The wall was massive, it stood more than 500 feet tall and ran across the valley, covering the massive Capital. The wall had men all over it, from the top and even some marching the outside. The entrance of the wall had gates in it, splitting people from those who were exiting and those who were entering. It also had a gate for soldiers to go through with ease. It was so glorious. It made sense why everyone feels safe here, but for some reason, just looking at it, I felt something. It was an uneasy feeling, but it wasn’t the only thing I felt.

We were able to go through the gate thanks to the Royal Guards. Usually, I would’ve had to go where everyone else went through. As we began to walk out the gate, I finally saw since I was a little boy, the Great City of Estonia and all of its well known glory. The city was beautiful. It was colorful and bright, the buildings were mostly white with gold, but also had their own unique touches of color. Everything was so green and clean. Even the people looked so kind, with no homeless people on the streets.

Maybe it's because they move them away, but even if so, it looks like everyone was living life well. At a certain roundabout that branches off to six different paths, the one Denis went to was in front of the path they arrived from. Dimitri followed the one to the left of it. The path Denis took looked like it led to the army camping grounds and the one Dimitri took led more into the city where the town hall was, as well as where bounties were placed. As he walked down the street, he saw the city run, watching as everyone was arriving from work or just leaving with horses taking people wherever they please. The town was beautiful and lively to even watch. After a bit of walking and sightseeing, he finally made it to a nice, fancy looking building with huge words on top saying, “Special Workstation.” It was pretty big, especially where it was and it seemed well guarded by Royal Guards all around the place. The build inside was luxurious, but looked like it meant business as well. Dimitri walked to the left side of the lobby area where Royal Mercenaries usually met for business purposes. He saw four men standing away from one another, they looked strange, but one of them he recognised almost immediately.
