In Ella's dreaming mind a repeated dream is playing out differently, reliving the day the wolf came, smelling out Ella cowering under a bed. On top of the bed a newborn brother sleeps, terrified they're to be eaten she screams for help.

Rushing into the  log-house with a straw broom in hand Ella's mother, alarmed spotting the wolf.

Brandishing the broom Mother beseeches the beast to abandon them.

Protecting the children Mother places herself between beast and bed.

The wolf growls irking Mother to smack it in the head with the broom.

Sinking its teeth into the broom the wolf jerks it from Mother's grasp. Tossing the broom aside the wolf menacingly growls.

Attempting to pull Mother aside the wolf firmly bites onto her wrist. Scared she screams out alerting husband and son from the fields.

Jerking her arm free causes the canine teeth to tear open the wrist. She  falters backwards onto the bed and woven basket holding their newborn boy. Panicked mother's unaware the baby was accidentally crushed to death.

Defensively shielding herself raises the injured arm, while up-righting body with the other.

Snapping away the wolf tries to bite her bleeding forearm.

She scrambles screaming out of the farmhouse.

Ella's teen brother, with sickle in hand, rushes past and into the house.

Seeing blood trails and Ella crying he yells at the wolf to get away.

Seeing the boy as a threat the wolf lunges for throat.

Scared and startled brother can't defend himself in time as the wolf's jaw clamps down on human neck. Putting the boy down outside the doorway the wolf savagely tears out the youth's throat. He feebly whacks the wolf with the flat side of the sickle.

Passing out in fear and awe Mother eventually bleeds out.

Witnessing the horror Ella's father sprints for them with an axe in hand.

Hearing and seeing the man coming the wolf races to meet him.

Leaping high the wolf gets the advantage chomping into the farmer's throat taking him down

When finished the wolf returns to the farmhouse and Ella. Usually the dream ends with Ella screaming herself awake. Rarely does she get this far, or to where Vladimir saves her. This time there's something different with the perspective.

Under the bed crying to be left alone Ella observes that's not her. As the wolf steps closer, calmly panting, Ella sees a different face on the girl with bright blue eyes. Ella has a grim realization, she's the wolf and just preformed in the death of her own family.

Distressed Ella snaps awake, sitting straight up panting and lost, "what the hell?" Scowling she stares around the dark quiet room. "What the hell?"

Conscious and confounded Ella tosses the covers aside, "first time I dreamt it that way. May it be the last time too. Awful."

Wandering the farmhouse in thought she can tell sunrise is near.

Retrieving a glass of water she sits at the dinning table. The closed laptop a sign Vladimir didn't want to reply.

Opening the laptop brings up the awaiting screen and confirms it, "damn it Vlad. I really need to know if you'll actually help me try. Can't exactly perform a transfusion by myself. Not sure how either of us will be able to help the other if one is an animal."
