Nene grabbed your arm and held it as the night sky filled with a thousand coloured lights.There was pink,green,purple,red and neon blue.They clashed beautifully with the darkening sunset of the pink moon up in the sky.
You blushed at how beautiful Nene looked under the lights.She had gone through lengths to book these tickets for your birthday and you wanted to thank her for it.Turning to face her,you smiled and said,
"Thank you for taking me out for my birthday Nene chan!This has been an amazing day!You didn't have to though!"
You were cut off as she shushed you and looked at you determinedly,
"Don't feel bad!I know you like fireworks especially at the beach and it was my choice whether I bought the tickets or not when I had enough money.So don't say anything ok?This is your day (name chan)!"
"Besides.Being next to you is enough to me happy."
Nene whispered to you,you smiled and hugged her,there really wasn't anyone like Nene chan to amaze you.Once the display had finished,the beach was empty and dark with the now silver moon.
You stood up and stretched,Nene stood up as well and it was a little bit awkward at first since no one said anything.As you watched the waves hitting the sand,you felt your hand holding Nene's.She suddenly said,
"I know I say that I'd like a prince to sweep me off my feet,but maybe I'd also like to have my princess sweep me off my feet.Specifically the one standing next to me right now."
You quickly looked at her,a very obvious blush on your face.Nene than started rambling apologies because she thought you felt uncomfortable.But you didn't,it was as if Hanako had granted your wish!You quickly slipped an arm around her waist and placed your lips on hers.
There was no sound except for the obnoxiously loud waves seeping in and out like a pair of lungs breathing rigidly.Nene wrapped her arms around your neck,her braid billowing in the wind.Placing your other hand to her hair,you felt a giant weight lifting off your shoulders at the relief you felt.
Shortly afterwards,You were walking home repeating the words Nene had said after the kiss,
"Happy birthday (name chan!) I love you!"
