Hello, hello! Welcome! Before we begin I wanted to say a few important things:
1. I am a full-time employee at an architecture firm, I graduated college May of 2022. That said, I am only left with a few hours after work to write (and that's if I don't get writers block or distracted by other great fanfictions) so bear with me on updates! I do feel a bit pressured to write before the show inevitably comes out, so maybe that will be good motivation!
2. This story is set in the past. We got on a time machine and landed in the era of homophobia and even racism (although the latter I don't plan to do too much with because it's not my place). Full disclosure, I am a member of the LGBTQ community, I am the L! My pronouns are she/they. That said, I will be focusing on the homophobia bits because that is my place, and unfortunately, it was seen as an illness back then and "treated" horrifically. I do not intend to offend anyone, but I will leave warnings for anything triggering, so please feel free to skip the triggers if you need to! This story is meant to be an enjoyable rollercoaster of emotions!
3. I will be using Google Translate for the French and Italian bits, I'm sorry, I get bored with Duolingo fast 😅 feel free to correct me if I mess any of it up, please (just be kind about it, this is me apologizing in advance)! Plus, I am always down to learn a new language! I will also translate in brackets for you all, because even though iPhone translates most things if you highlight it, from experience it isn't reliable all the time.
4. I will be putting in some research from true events, real places, and real words from back in the 30's, so enjoy that, and keep in mind I am only one person behind this screen as of current, so don't come for me if something isn't period accurate.
5. Lastly, in this story, Alastor is more on the demisexual side. I am demisexual but touch and sex averse unless it's with the right person. I will be sort of going off my own experiences as such. Like me, Alastor will also still be touch and mostly sex averse, EXCEPT for when it comes to Anthony/Angel. So long as he forms a trusting relationship with an emotional connection, he is okay. I am also tempted to write smut here and there, which is another reason I made Al slightly more demisexual (but I feel like I am terrible at it, so we will see where that goes!).
(I wonder how far I will get with this story before the show finally comes out heh. It seems I have until summer 2023 sometime)
