Qualifier

Today we are hauling out to a local rodeo, I'm taking Jack and Louie, and Jb is taking Buckskin to be the pick up man and he's taking Bay to do the team roping with Weston.

Codi isn't riding because she's pregnant but both of her girls are. Emma on Teddy and Bea on her new pony Scout. This is Beas first rodeo she is actually riding in and the only reason she didn't do the last one we think is because Jb wasn't there. I don't blame her though because he was at my first rodeo.

"Ada the trailer is loaded, can you catch your damn horse he won't let me catch him and I chased him for 10 minutes and you know I can barely run." He said, I knew he talking about Jack. Jack doesn't like to cooperate when you are in a rush, It happens every time.

"Yes I will, I packed your bag and Chaps so all you need are tack,ropes and your hat." I said standing on the front porch . I already had all my tack loaded so I didn't have to worry about that.

"Thank you. I'll do that while you catch your horse. Chestnut is already loaded, he's in the back." He said, He doesn't ever say the horses name. So he meant Louie is in the trailer and I need to catch 'My damn horse' aka Jack.

"Okay, I'll load bags then get Jack."

On the road

I caught Jack just fine and now we are finally on the road. I checked on Codi and they left before us some how.

"Hey do you remember the last time we went to a rodeo together? Like not PBR but like a real rodeo." Jb asked me, and of course I did.

"How could I forget, we got together then. God I was so ew I don't even wanna think about it." I said truthfully. It gives me a ick when I think about how I acted.

"Nooo you were and  still are perfect!" he said. But I don't believe him.

"Yeah sure whatever" and we both laughed about it the whole way there.

"Codi!!!! Girls!!!!!" I yelled as soon as we saw their trailer.

"Yay y'all made it!!!  Have y'all entered yet?" Codi came out of the trailer and said.

"I just sent Jb off to do that, What event is first?" I ask, I didn't pick up a schedule but normally it's rough stock, roping, then barrels.

"They moved Bull riding to the last event tonight for some reason. But it's Broncs, Roping, Barrels then Bulls." She said.

"Okay! I guess I better go get Buckskin ready then no telling how long he's gonna be down there."

"It makes me laugh because all y'alls horses have names and he calls them by color! Like what happened to Whiskey and Dustin?" She said while laughing.

"Girl he calls Louie "Chestnut" and Jack "Your damn horse" he knows there names!!" I laugh back and say. "Got to go see y'all later!"

Jb is on Buckskin doing pick ups for the broncs while I'm warming up Bay in the roping pen with Weston. I didn't realize that tonight was literally the last rodeo I needed before I could qualify for the NFR. I have been riding like crazy since i've gotten Jack and Louie hell i've even raced Bay.

I went ahead and walked over to the trailer so I could meet Jb there.

Soon Jb walks in on buckskin who is prancing all over the place. "Hey how did y'all do?" I asked him, they looked pretty good when I saw them. But it's hard to say that a guy in chaps and spurs, on a pretty horse is not good looking.

"We did just fine. Is Bay ready?" He said back after he got off of buckskin and took his big chaps off.

"Yeah he is. So because I warmed up your horse could you do something for me?" I asked and he's not gonna like what I have to say.

"Um sure." He looks very hesitant but is untacking buckskin so not really focused on me.

"Could I race Buckskin or Bay tonight? I really wanna make sure I qualify." I ask truthfully. He's in the tack room of the trailer and i'm still outside with the horses.

"Quality for what?" then it hit him "Ohh yeh the NFR yeah you can ride them, ride both if you need to." He said with a little smile. He walks over to me and hands me buckskin and takes Bay and gets on him.

"I think I'll do Bay because i've already raced him. Thank you!" I say then walk up to him hand him is rope and reach up and give him a kiss on the cheek.

Team roping went well, there time wasn't great because Bay kept trying to run into the poor steer but in the end it worked out.

Barrels are up now and it's 3 other girls then, Emma, Me on Jack, Me on Louie, Bea, then me on Bay.

Emma is ready to go on Teddy and they are fixing to head down the ally way.

"Up next is Emma Taylor on Teddy!!" The announcer yelled. And in the blink of a eye Emma was off. Her first barrel was a little too tight but she pulled it off. Second she over corrected from the first and made it a little too wide. And for her third is always a breeze.

"And that was Emma Taylor with a time of 18.6!" The announcer yelled again. And for a little girl on a huge ring that is impressive.

I passed by Emma and she was still on buddy and i'm on Jack since i'm literally up in a few seconds. "Emma that was amazing!" I told her.

She just smiled back to me before the announcer yelled "And up next is the one and only Ada Smith on MoonFlash N' Poker!!"

Jack is bouncing all over the ally way and as soon as the announcer finishes his sentence I let him roll.

The runs went great, Jack got a 17.2 and that was the fastest time of the night meaning we qualified for the NFR together! Louie did good too and got a 17.6 only because we had a really wide 1st barrel so that added some time.

Bea ended up with a 20.3 and trotted around her barrels and only loped the long parts but that's ok.

THIS WAS SO BAD IM SORRY!!! The next one will be better I swear. I had this one like half written already.
