JB POV:

I woke up with a sore arm and a beautiful girl buried into my chest. Seeing we don't have to be out till tonight for scores and the dance i'm not taking the chance of waking her up yet. I start to hear yelling from outside, it's probably just Codi yelling at Wes for god knows what. Until I look out the window, Wes has his roping partner on the ground punching the shit out of him. A few more kids came running up to help out Russ. I look down at Ada still somehow sleeping so peacefully. I slowly push her away from me trying not to wake her up. I put on my boots and open the door making sure to close it as quickly and quietly as possible even though I'm in a rush. With all 3 kids teamed up on Wes I go in and attempt to break up the fight but making sure I do some damage to the kids as well. The 2 kids finally ran off but Russ and Wes were still punching the life out of each other. I punch Russ square in the jaw to knock him back off of Wes. Russ falls back and I kick him in the ribs so he falls straight on his side. I help Wes get up and the same 2 kids come back to help get Russ who was limping away. I get Wes back into the trailer and I hear Codi get out of bed and walk over to us and she immediately grabs Wes sits him down and goes to getting him cleaned up. "What happened Weston?" Codi asked him in a very harsh tone. "I was coming back from feeding the horses and I saw Russ so I went out to talk to him, he was talking about how I did not do well last night and the only reason why we won is because he drugged Wills (another heeler) horse so it would not act right so we could win our last rodeo together. He was acting so proud of him self it got on my nerves and I guess I just went off.". I widened my eyes and said "Well i've got to go, your welcome for saving your ass" and walked out and back into our trailer. Ada, thank god was still asleep. I put on a clean shirt, the kids tore the sleeve on the other one. And climbed back up into the loft. I look down at Ada wondering how she is still asleep and why she looks like a angel while she sleeps, i've never seen anything as pretty. I have had feelings for Ada for a while but she has been in a relationship and is constantly pushing the 'best friends since birth' idea around. But I don't mind as long as i'm around her, I'll stay her best friend until the day I die if that's what she wants. As long as I can keep her close is all I care about. All of my best memories are her and through all of my bad ones to she has always been there. Home is whenever i'm with her. This little spot in the loft with her in my chest is home.

Ada POV:

I wake up to JB messing with my hair and looking out the window. I roll onto my side to look at him, he immediately looks down at me and says "Good Morning" he almost looked like he was blushing a bit, like I just caught him doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing. "Good morning cowboy" and then I get up and get ready. We have a ceremony at 7 and the dance afterwards so we have no plans until then. "Wes got in a fight this morning, I helped him out but did not say long after" he said while putting on his belt. "I would go check on Codi and see how they are doing, I'm going to go get food" he said while I put on my boots and open the door "Ok, I'll be here or the barn when you get back" I said before I walked out of the door. I walk over to Codi's trailer and Weston is outside roping like always. "Heard you got in a fight, how are you doing?" he keeps throwing loop after loop "I'm fine" he obviously did not want to be talked to right now so I went into the trailer. Codi was on the floor painting her nails and said "Want me to paint yours while I have the stuff out?" I sit down beside her "Sure why not" she finished up hers and started on mine, just painting them a cream color. "Weston seems pretty pissed still was it that bad?" I asked Codi honestly. "Yeah, Russ drugged another teams horse so they could win. I'm sure he is mad because Will is going to think Wes had something to do with it too. Russ just wanted to win." I frown knowing once word got around it is going to get pinned on the both of them no matter what Weston says. "That's so sad i'm so sorry." she just nods. "How was your round last night? I had to go i'm so sorry I could not watch" I ask her. "It was really good i'm very proud of it" I smile wishing that I could be there. "I'm so happy for you!" she smiles back while finishing my last nail "Thank you". "I'm going to go check on the horses anything I need to do for ash?" she smiles and says "Wes already did morning check, so nobody should need anything, but thank you" I smile and walk out. The walk to the barn was short, I did not need to do much just get Tessa out and take her on a walk to stretch her legs. I get on bare back in just her rope halter and walk out the back of the barn. I notice JB's Truck was back so I walked over there. I get off and tie Tessa to the trailer for a second so I could see what he brought back. I open the door and there is no JB but a box of donuts on the counter. I grab one and get back on Tessa and head back to the barn, I probably just missed him when I left the barn. And sure enough I was right, JB was walking around the barn like a chicken with its head cut off looking for me. I walk into the barn and he finally looks over to me. "You look lost" I say with a big smile "Yeah well I thought you got lost, where were you?" I shrugged my shoulders and said "At the trailer" he rolls his eyes and gets on Tessa behind me and says "Wanna go for a walk?" I smile and say "What do you think I was doing?" I look back and he rolls his eyes at me laughing a bit.

(Time skip to the dance, JB won bulls (wow we would have never guessed) Ada won barrels, Codi got 2nd in roping, Wes got disqualified because of what Russ did but still got recognized)

Me and Codi walk into the dance together both in matching dresses just in different colors. Wes comes and takes Codi's hand and takes her out to the dance floor and I'm left to wondering where is JB. 2 arms snakes around my waist and I jumped a bit but I immediately knew who it was "Wanna dance?" I smile "JB have I ever said no to dancing with you?" he steps in-front of me and says "Yes when we were little and you said there was no way..." I cut him short saying "Yeah yeah whatever let's go". (Skipping dancing sorry just imagine) After about a hour of dancing and another 2 standing around talking and having a good time it's around 12:00, I would stay longer If we didn't have to leave tomorrow morning early.
"JB are you ready? We need to leave early in the morning" still talking to somebody else he says "Yeah yeah yeah one minute darling" the end of his sentence really catching me off guard, don't get me wrong I loved it but he probably did not mean it. Realizing I was blushing, I grabbed his arm and said goodbye to whoever he was talking too and led him out. He suddenly stopped and said "Wait I'll be right back I need to let Weston know we are going back" I nod and he goes back in and all I can do is pray he comes back out. While waiting a couple walks out, but not just any couple my ex Tyler and his new girl friend or hook up of the week. Tyler looks at me and the girl looks like she immediately knows who I am, "Oh Baliey! Look who it is!" Tyler says. "Just leave Tyler I don't want to talk to you" I try to push him away. "Oh please you know you want me back, to be loved by me again" I roll my eyes "That's the last thing I want" he takes a step towards me and grabs my throat probably leaving bruises "And to think you believed that I loved you? Stupid stupid Ada" My eyes start to water "Get off of me" I manage to choke out. "She said get off of her!" JB yells while speed walking to us "Oh wow look your best friend is here to save you!" Tyler laughs, catching both me and Tyler off guard, JB punches Tyler straight in the nose getting blood all over him and he continues to punch the shit out of him until he gets up with bloody knuckles and says "Stay away from her Tyler" and then throws one more unnecessary punch. We start to walk to the trailer in silence. Once in the trailer I get out a rag and clean off his knuckles and we both get changed and get into bed, "Ada are you ok?" he asks me while rubbing my back, "No but you are making it better" I say while tucking my face into his chest where I feel immediate safety "Listen Ada i'm sorry about Tyler it was my fault I left you and..." I cut him off saying "It's ok". We sat there in total silence, and on the heat of the moment I said "JB?" he looked at me a bit confused "Ada?" I smiled knowing where I was going with this "Do you remember yesterday when you got dragged by that bull?" still very confused he said "I sure do you came running back after me in the locker rooms" I smiled "Well, you got hung up pretty bad and nearly broke your ass and you were bleeding all over the place, and I rushed you out to the hospital, you remember that?" He laughed "Of course I do why?" I looked up at him "Well there is something I never told you about that night"
a bit worried he looked at me and I said "While you were sitting in the front seat, smoking a cigarette you joked to be your last, I was falling in love with you". I blushed, a bit shy about the confession, was it too soon? JB reaches down to my face and tilts my head upwards, I scoot towards him a bit and sit up, and then he kissed me.
