(A/N: I have this chapter's draft saved for a long time but I always have a hard time editing and finishing a chapter. I often end up rushing in the last minute. Thank you for waiting patiently, I love you all :) Let's continue supporting our boys.)

Pete stares at the night skies above. Sentiments are best thought at night—when he's alone; when it's quiet, and it's dark.

"Bastard, why do you keep messing up my mind?" He sighed in frustration. The moon or the stars can never answer his questions but they do a lot to give him peace.

And that's what he needed – peace. No disruption from anyone as he tries to rearrange his thoughts. Unfortunately, he can't attain that in his everyday life. He's always needed, always in demand but at least it strays his mind off from Vegas... for a moment. Although, whenever he gets a break, his mind wanders off to that idiot.

What is he thinking? What is he doing? Is he still hurting? Still crying?

"Nop said he had some injuries from the fight... how bad could it be?"

"But he also said, he's fine..."

Pete flicked his own forehead as he realized he was talking to himself again.

He sighed for the last time before closing the window, deciding that it was better to sleep than to overthink. Thinking about that idiot will gradually screw his remaining sanity!

He tried hard to hide it, but Vegas is the constant figure that bugs his mind... what happened earlier this morning made it even worse!

[This Morning]

Earlier this morning, the Suwanamas & Theerapanyakun family conspired and sent their men on a mission together.

The mission is about a businessman named Khun Pond who was quite known in the underground society. His business varies – shopping centers, rental houses, and even department stores – all used as a front for illegal activities such as firearm trades and mini-casino.

Khun Pond acts as the middleman for the Techaapaikhun and a foreign syndicate that supplies some of the former family's weaponry. Again, the mentioned family was the suspect in the island incident. Khun Korn and the Suwanamas agreed that they have to destabilize the Techaapaikhun by eliminating their allies one by one.

Pete was chosen as the leader and was ordered to send a message of invitation to Khun Pond that the Suwanamas and the Theerapanyakun family want to have a deal with him. Pete has been in the business for quite some time to easily make a guess what the goal is. They may bribe Khun Pond to raise a ruckus between the Techaapaikhun and the foreign syndicate or jam their weapon dealings.

There was one order, however—that if Khun Pond would reject the invitation, they have to kill him or he will most probably start a problem.

Pete's team was divided into two, four will go inside the villa while the other four wait outside, in their getaway vehicle.

Then just as usual, there's another team on stand-by as a reinforcement but they're at least a few blocks away from the vicinity to avoid suspicion.

"Listen closely—" Pete instructs the four that will remain in the van. "Once I clicked the emergency button, the first thing you should do is call for reinforcement and get inside the villa as quickly as you can."

He went inside Khun Pond's villa together with three other bodyguards from the Theerapanyakun main house and the Suwanamas family.

They were led by a couple of men to Khun Pond's office and even confiscated their guns before they were granted access. While he's displeased with the sound of guns, Pete knew he's better off with it than without it... there's a big chance that a fight will break out, it was even more dangerous since they were inside enemy territory – one of the reasons why Khun Kinn nor Porsche wasn't sent, there's a big chance of death on their end.
