Chapter Seventeen

“You are more than just some hook up Taehyung I made it pretty fucking clear.”

The words rang in Taehyung’s head throughout the time. He wasn't sure how he was supposed to react. Till now, Taehyung coaxed himself by saying that it's just sex and nothing more. It was easier to ignore his rising feelings that way.

But now, he doesn't know anymore.

He was in a daze, it seemed as if it still would take time to properly sink in, he was just looking straight on the path with his mind being completely silent.

This probably didn't frightened him as he supposed it would, being with Jungkook was just…. Easy, in a way. Jungkook… He interests Taehyung. The mobster isn't a closed book full of secrets but he wasn't an open book either.

Taehyung liked that. He liked how easy it was being with Jungkook. They'll bicker and laugh, smile and kiss. Jungkook is fun to be with, The racer has trust issues but he definitely trusts Jungkook, till what line is a different question. That might be the reason why he wasn't so freaked out by the idea of them being something else…. Something intimate…. A relationship perhaps.

Yeah, that might be the reason why He wasn't so opposed to the idea but what did Taehyung know anyway? Maybe he was still numb by the feeling of seeing a dead body to even react to that little information. Maybe he'll freak out later once this turmoil settles down.

The gunshot, the dead body, the blood… It sends him very close to a memory Taehyung would rather like to have inside the Pandora box for the rest of his life. It wasn't a secret his sister and mother had died. He failed to protect the remaining two people he called his family.

Sure, he has seen gunshots and blood almost every week but never has he been the one who holded the gun. He's glad his body is refusing to succumb to those thoughts, he's not sure what he'll do if he falls back into the memories of that time.

Frankly, Taehyung felt like an asshole for acting this way, for being so tangled up in his own emotions about stupid things when he has literally just blown up someone's head, took someone's family, maybe even made someone orphan.

The thought made his stomach churn in disgust as his own brain tried to give reasons in order to justify the murder. The more the time passed the more he got used to the fact that he killed someone. Till now, Taehyung never considered himself a bad person but maybe, now he was.

One of the bad guys who killed others for their own benefit, the people who deserved the worst. He isn't the religious type but Taehyung knows that karma will catch up to him sooner than later maybe—

“Taehyung?” The racer looked sideways to see Jungkook watching him closely, almost concerned about his well-being and the younger realised they were standing in front of his house for the last 15 minutes if not more, Drenched from the heavy rain that had started to pour soon after they left the place.

“You okay?”

“I am, stop asking that!” Taehyung grumbled, his voice coming out harsher than intended.

“I'm okay they probably wouldn't even be awake. I don't know, I just…” Taehyung sighs. “A little nervous I guess? This isn't a big deal for you but it is for me” Jungkook nods relculantly.

“I understand, my first wasn't easy either” Tae peaked a glance at him with a raised brow.

“How old were you? When you know… killed someone?”

“Seventeen, Couldn't sleep for days, locked myself in my room for about a week even though I have seen dead bodies left and right before I was even ten. My Dad said it takes time to come to terms with it, with being a killer, My older brother told me I was a coward for that, so yeah I can understand” Taehyung nods since he didn't knew what to say, if he was seventeen when he first killed someone it means it has been a long long time ago.
