Taehyung wasn't sure how he was supposed to react. He felt as if he had been paralyzed from head to toe. Having a lot to do, a lot to say, but his body didn't compelled him to do so.

Taehyung glanced at Maria, who was staring straight with a stern look from the front seat. The racer doesn't know who this person is, she's not at all like the Maria he knows. As if she had taken a newborn and came out as a person totally opposite to the one he knew.

She is.... Daughter of the Russian mafia??... God he didn't know that. But then again, he can't be the one to complain when he himself has hid a lot from her. Even though he is aware of the fact that Yoongi has told her about his past, he is sure the male has only told her tidbits. Not the whole truth.

That's something over the older had taken an oath to not let a single soul even get a hint of it. So he can't be the one who has the right to be mad over her for hiding such a big thing from him or Yoongi for that matter.

Taehyung sighed, he was too shocked by what just happened. They were almost going to die. Jungkook's guts were about to be spilled out on the floor all while he didn't get to say what he felt.

The series of events have made his feelings more clear than water ever has been. In that moment he couldn't say it, the words felt more like out of pity rather than a confession of his love.

He isn't saying, Jungkook said it out of pity, no. The mobster is not that kind of person. He probably had thought about it more than Taehyung can imagine, Jungkook might have said it because he thought it's the last time he'll get to see taehyung unlike him, who got aware - or accepted - his feelings at that particular time.

Taehyung didn't want to say those three words as if he was under peer pressure, just said it in the moment. Now that they are alive - thanks to Maria - now he can process his feelings before he says it to the man next to him.

Taehyung let out another sigh, feeling his eyes heavy he leaned against Jungkook's shoulder closing his eyes. The mobster dipped his head so he could whisper against his ears.

"You okay?"

"What do you think?"

Jungkook chuckled, "Not good, I suppose"

"Shit Sherlock"

"Does near death experience make you more sarcastic or something??"

"No, Getting confessed does" Taehyung felt Jungkook stiffen under his touch and the racer immediately regrets saying it. He didn't mean to say it per se, heck he didn't even think of it that way.

The thing was, it was all his mind was running around about and hence he ended up mixing up things.

"About that Taehyung-"

"Let's not talk about it"

"Okay" Maybe it was his own mind but he definitely felt like there was bitterness in Jungkook's voice. At last, he considered it just him being an overthinker and decided to ignore it.

He doesn't want to talk about it like they were talking about the weather. He wanted to properly sit and have a talk about it, he wanted time to process his though not new, but recently acknowledged feelings.

It has brought a mixed feeling to him and he needed time to figure it out, his feelings don't take him by surprise or in total opposition to it. If I speak frankly, he basically needs time to think how he'll confess to the male and even if he does - which he sure will, sooner or later - How will they make it work??

It's easier to just stay together when you don't have a label, don't have expectations from each other, don't have demands or any kind of authority over each other.
