Almost like bunched up balls of juice
Have you ever just squeezed one
Slippery
Try catching them
Almost like jumping beans
Each color has a different way of being handled
Wine grapes
Grapes
Sun bathing grapes <------ raisins
The fastest grapes to work with are the sun bathing ones
Market or international... grapes
You have your knife a special one
With one hand you hold the fruit and with the other you slash
Now comes the best part
Either you end up with blade marks on your other hand or you work with the cuts and place the grapes to set them ready
In those days all we did was fill boxes
From bagged one's to container one's
Now, you do the second person's job, packing and labeling
How times have changed
Now for raisins
Same thing but someone places the brown papers down
They go by fast almost like running because the others working at a fast pace like the flash
It's cut and toss
A rhythm that you can get lost in
Only thing is those pesky bugs and mosquitoes
Then when the sun is fully set
Even sunblock disappears...
It's like you don't have any
The dust lifts as you go
Sometimes it's still stuck on your skin
A shower it is
Maybe two
