Painful Memories

After talking to Mosquito, Grebito decided to talk to Flam. So Grebito went to where the others were seeing them trying and failing to make a farm.

"You know I don't think this is working." Flam said mockingly.

"Hey Flam what's going on?" Grebito asked.

Flam was surprised at Grebito's sudden arrival so jumped back. "Oh yeah Grebito, how are you doing?"

"Good, but what's going on?" Grebito asked.

Flam regained his composure "Oh well Helistin wanted to make a farm but Van messed up his spell and wilted all the crops."

"Ok but I do have some questions." Grebito said.

"Well, go ask Helistin because I think Van is panicking." Flam said walking away.

Grebito then grabbed Flam's arm, not letting go.

"No, questions for you Flam." Grebito said with an uncharacteristic serious tone.

Flam tried to get out of Grebito's grasp but Grebito wouldn't let go.

"What do you want then?" Flam said, annoyed.

"Why are you here?" Grebito asked.

Flam was dumbfounded.

"You want to know why I was hired for this adventure, well the answer is that Im." Flam stopped before answering." A good archer." Flam said before ripping his arm for Grebito's grasp. Flam walked away with a hurt look on his face. Grebito tried grabbing Flam's arm again but Flam pushed her away. "Leave me alone." Flam said.

"That's not why you are really here, so tell me the real reason you're here." Grebito demanded.

" And why should I do that?" Flam said angrily.

"Cause it's hurting you so I want to help you." Grebito said.

"Your prying into my life is hurting, not my PAST!" Flam yelled, tears forming in his eyes.

"Look I'm prying into your past because I want to help you." Grebito said , trying to calm down Flam.

"WHY, WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF THIS!" Flam yelled, crying.

"My friends being happy, "Grebito said calmly.

Flam couldn't hold on for any longer collapsing to the floor crying clutching his bow to his chest. Grebito asked Mosquito to get something. While Mosquito flew off Grebito sat down with Flam.

"dad please come back to me, i'm sorry i wasn't there for you." Flam sobbed out, holding his bow.

Grebito just let Flam have his time before asking "Did your dad give you that bow?"

"Ye- yeah he did, it was for training and hunting. He said he would give me a better one after I became an archer but he died before that happened." Flam said, still crying.

Grebito gave Flam a hug then said "I know losing a family member is hard, I've been there before." Flam returned the hug.

Mosquito returned with a basket. Grebito took the basket and gave Flam a Cagefruit. Flam took the fruit and got up.

"What was your dad like?" Grebito asked.

"He was very dedicated to his job as a doctor, "Flam answered.

"But during a robbery, he was killed. Two masked thieves killed him." Flam said. Grebito gave a rag to wipe his tears.

"So I took a ship to Lension to train so I can go back to kill them." Flam said angrily.

"Could you give me some time alone please?" Flam asked.

Grebito nodded so got up and left Flam by himself. Mosquito Chirped .

"Yeah your right let's leave him be for now." Grebito said, heading to the farm.
