Hi everyone! Thank you again to everyone who has read or is reading this story. Your support means so much to me! As I've said before, this story is getting a sequel, which is mostly finished at this point. So, I decided to give you guys a sneak peek of that sequel here!

I hope to start posting the new story in the next couple of weeks after taking a short break to catch up on some things. I'll post a little announcement here when it's up. I hope to see you all there :)

I grin at the little green child sitting across from me, watching as he spills some of the bright red fruit preserves I'd given him. He always spills half a meal on his little tan robes. I sigh, using the corner of our little picnic blanket, which used to be my cloak, to dab away the mess.

Looking around, I suck in a breath through my nose. Fresh, clean air fills my lungs. I don't think I've ever known peace in my life until this moment. Life with the Death Watch was good, but never peaceful. We always trained, always moved from one place to another to plan for the next attack or narrowly avoid our own demise. Life on the streets of Sundari City wasn't much different. You fended for yourself, or you died. There was no room for peace, even in the quiet moments.

I don't think I need to explain why life as an Inquisitor wasn't peaceful.

Even my brief time running around with the lone Mandalorian and Grogu wasn't peaceful. We were constantly on the run, constantly dodging bounty hunters and Moff Gideon himself before he was finally killed. Finding out my old master, the Fourth Sister, is still out there somewhere didn't exactly help with the whole finding inner peace thing either.

But this, this is completely different.

On my left, a row of massive, roaring waterfalls frames the valley perfectly with a backdrop of breathtaking mountains in the distance. Tall grass and wildflowers lick at my feet as I lounge on my picnic blanket with the little green child I've come to love across from me. He's eating toast with a fruit spread on top, something I'd never tried before, but quickly became addicted to. A gentle breeze pushes my hair against my bare shoulders. If my younger self could see me now, I doubt she'd believe any of this is real.

A herd of wild, bulbous-looking creatures grazes nearby, unbothered by us. They're called Shaaks, if the locals were correct, and have become an endless source of entertainment for Grogu and me.

I have to say, I think Naboo might just be my favorite planet we've ever stayed on.

The Shaaks suddenly lift their heads and start to squeal, all running in different directions. I huff out a sigh, narrowing my eyes playfully at Grogu when he giggles. He knows what usually comes next.

It doesn't take long for a bulky lump of metal to fall from the sky and crash-land into the field, completely shattering my peace and quiet. The lump, which is a tall Mandalorian, grunts and groans as he staggers to his feet, deactivating the jetpack on his back. He sighs, hobbling over to my picnic with Grogu.

"That was great," I call over to him, smiling innocently as I lean back on my hands. He tilts his helmet at me, his chest still heaving from the fall.

"It's not listening to me," he says, his voice hardened with irritation as he gestures to the jetpack. He rips it off his back and drops it to the ground with a thump at his feet.

I snort out a laugh and shrug. "Now you know how I feel."

Grogu coos up at him, holding up a piece of soggy toast that's practically dripping with fruit preserves. The Mandalorian standing above us sighs, shrinking away from the sloppy-looking food. "No thanks," he mutters. Then he turns to me. "That stuff is full of more junk than actual fruit. You shouldn't be eating it so much."
