GOTN Chap 22 - Start Of Training And... Maire's Home!

"How are you?" I asked. "Normal" He replied. "Does normal mean jumpy?" Kircee asked. This guy isn't even joking anymore. "No." Jake replied sounding annoyed.

Then his phone rang. "Yes papa?" He asked. "Jake tell you siblings we'll take a while to come back. Maybe a week okay?" A voice said. Hahaha he kept it on speakers on. "Dad...?" He asked in shock.

"I'm okay Jake, but wait for us for a while okay? Tell your siblings that we'll be back in a week" his dad said. "Also Arkio will be babysitting you five, your cousins are staying there at the library." He said.

"Okay..." Jake replied. And the call ended. "You really need to know how to turn off the speakers Jake." Jiro said. "I don't need to." Jake replied coldly. We all just laughed.

So we cheered him up. We played silly games some he took way too seriously. Like that time were we played truth or dare. "Jake truth or dare?" Mia asked. "Dare because I don't have anything to reveal." He replied. "Okay hmmmm I dare you to slap puppy!" Mia dared.

We all laughed and dang including Kircee not knowing we're referring to him! Hahaha! "Your grammar is wrong." He added. And he disappeared. A few seconds later he came back and showed us a video of him literally slapping a puppy!

"That's cruel!" I yelled. "We were referring to Kircee!" Mia yelled. "He isn't a puppy" He replied. "Why slap me!!?" Kircee yelled. "Cause you're the most annoying one out of all of us." Jiro replied.

We had a great time. Other than the time where Zemia forced us to wear princes dresses that she got her maids to buy. Gosh those dresses were itchy. But Mia seems to like them.

I literally have a photo of the boys in their pretty pink dresses hahaha! "Oooh which princess am I?" Kircee asked. Well I guess he's enjoying it- "Princess puppy"! Zemia replied. "I'm a puppy again... Oh well!" Kircee replied.

"Zemia could you take these clothes off of big brother?" Jake asked politely. Gosh who knew he can be this kind? "No bubba! I want princess bubba to stay!" She yelled.

Hahaha! "How about me Zemmie? Can I just wear uh my guardian clothes to protect you precious princess bubba?" I asked. I swear I wanna get rid of these itchy junk. "Yes, Yes! Protect princess bubba!" She yelled in excitement.

So innocent. And Jiro is there just using his phone and not having a care in the world. "You do know you're in a dress right?" I asked him. "Yeah and?" He asked back. "Doesn't it bother you?" I asked in confusion.

"Nah. I wish I had a sibling who wants to play with me." He said. Weirdo number 2 found. I changed back into my regular clothes and all of us were comfy. Except for Jake and Zaile that is. Zaile is just in a corner itching and itching hahaha!

A week after that Jake's parents arrived back and he was happy as ever. And Maire came home! He was a little injured as expected but he's alive! "BIG BROOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!" I yelled as I saw him come down from the car.

I swear the whole neighborhood probably heard me. "Hey Vrie!" He replied sounding a lot happier than tired. We hugged and went inside. "What took you so long?" Mason asked.

"Had to get this arm treated duh" Maire replied. "How could you sound so happy after injuring an arm?" Veiro asked. "It was my first war and I survived it! Of course I'm happy." Maire replied. "Bet if you broke your arm you wouldn't be" I teased.

"Actually, I'd be happy because I would get a break from all this famous stuff" Veiro replied. "Yeah you need it, how long are you two staying for? I'm staying 'til Christmas" Maire asked. "I'm here for 3 months and will be back by December" Veiro replied.

"I'm an early bird, so I'll be back by November and I'm going off next week" Mason proudly said. "Yeah nice okay." Maire replied. "I may sound happy but man I'm tired as heck. I'll go sleep in my room now." Maire said as he got up. "Need help?" Mason asked.

"My left arm is still alive thank you." Maire replied. Everything was great. I finally had friends; all my bros are at home it was amazing! Except the fact that my real training will begin next month... Gosh it's gonna be a pain. Fast forward the next month, Mia and her family got a new house in our village and I started training.

"The first time you're doing this, you might pass out. So Jake be behind her." Mr. Kerolen or he told me to call him Zane, said. "Father you know that even if I was afar, I would be able to catch her." Jake replied.

"Lol okay." I replied. We started and surprisingly I didn't pass out. "I expected you to pass out but you didn't. Good job." Jake said as we were walking back home. "Ughhhhhhh today was tiring!!!" I complained. "You better be ready for a lot of training." Jake said.

"Ugh why was I chosennnnnn" I complained the whole way home. A week into my training and it's getting harder and harder every day! "Jake can't I take a break?" I asked.

"Just for one day pleaseeeeee!" I begged him but he won't let me! "C'mon dude even the weekends?!?" I asked. "Yes." He replied. "You're so cruel man" I said.

"It's part of being your bodyguard." He added. I whined a lot more. The training was pretty hard. But I soon got used to it. Woohoo!!! It's the last week of training! "Vrieya, this week all you will do is read this book." Zane said as he handed me the book. "Niceee reading week?"' I asked. "No. Guardians need to know everything in this book." He added. "Ohhhh okayy!" I replied happily.

Finally something I like to do. I noticed it was the book Jake was reading. "Jake isn't this your book?" I asked. "Yes. It was one of my prize after one of my missions." He replied. "Missions?" I asked again.

"Yes, during my training I took missions." He added. I was confused. What was he training for? "Why were you training?" I asked in confusion. "To protect the future guardian, and I would like to become my brother's personal bodyguard when the time comes." He replied.

"Well, since when were you training?" I asked. Yep. I'm very curious. "Since I was eight years old. I studied when I was two to seven years old." He answered. I stood there in shock.

"He was supposed to start studying at 5 years old, but he started at two because he got interest on books. When I started to teach him, he already knew the stuff that I was teaching." Zane added.

"What a nerd" I teased. "I have great social skills may I remind you." Jake replied. "No you don't" Zane added. "Wait really?" I asked in shock. Jake just looked annoyed. Hahaha!

"Remember that time where you met your uncle Leoren for the first time and there was a crowd of people because he was introducing you?" Zane asked. Jake looked more annoyed!

"What happened???" I asked curiously. "Well basically he cried. The look on Leoren's face was priceless!" Zane laughed. "Why don't I get to share embarrassing things you did huh!?" Jake yelled.

"Because you know nothing about my embarrassing moments." Zane said. Man these two may look and act serious but they love teasing each other. A very adorable father and son moment.

"That's it I'm out! I'm going to ask dad on your embarrassing moments and I'll get Vrieya to help me post them!" Jake yelled as he stormed off.
