Jade, 13 years old, 19 years ago.
Alexander always told me I was shy, but I hadn't witnessed my shyness myself until now. This boy, Samuel is one of my Papa's hackers. He's actually learning from his Father who works for Papa.
I wish I could go into the computer room, I don't think I would break anything like James said I would.
Samuel and I had an awkward start but eventually we got a lot closer and we found each other across the room every where we went.
At the Gala thing my Papa brought me to, he was posted at a door beside his Dad. He was in a tux and I was in a dress, maybe it was the perfect time to learn how to dance like we wanted to.
He came up to me and asked for a dance when his Dad wasn't paying attention and we had a lot of fun doing so.
That is until my Papa caught me, alongside Alexander. There was yelling and I didn't do much, I didn't know what to do being so short and quiet compared to my Papa and Brother.
Samuel was dragged away by his Father while I was dragged away by mine. Alexander sat down on a chair pulling me close in between his legs so he could look me in the eyes.
"What have I said about boys?" He asks firmly, I don't like when he's mad, it makes me want to cry.
"No boys." I responded, chin trembling and a tear ended up falling. I wish I didn't cry so much, why did I have to be so emotional.
"That's right." He nods grabbing my cheeks in both of his hands, "next boy I see I'm going to rip him to shreds, do you understand?"
I nod but he doesn't except that, most of my family doesn't except that. "Words Jade." He says seriously.
"I understand." I cry out and he pulls me towards him hugging me. By that point I was worried about Samuel, and I was for a very
long time because I didn't see him again.

Now
I look at him, "words Alexander." I order firmly. Nikolai looks at me with a smirk having heard many stories about my family.
Alexander tenses having noticed what I was doing but he puts his head down and responds, "I understand."
I hum, "then get to it." I watch him stand and go up the stairs and only then do I look at Nikolai grinning.
He shakes his head with a laugh, "I think we just adopted 4 more children."
"Seems so." I murmur.
