Chapter 4

"DRACO!"

Draco ran as fast as he could into the Greenhouse with his wand already in his hand. He saw you sitting on the table at the far corner of the Greenhouse and ran towards you.

"What? What's wrong?"

"The- there- there's a-" you stuttered pointing at something.

"Words, (Y/N). Use your words-"

"POSSUM! There's a possum in my garden!"

Draco turned around to face the animal on the other corner of the Greenhouse as you hid behind him.

"Merlin, (Y/N)! I thought you were in danger! You called me in here for a possum?"

"Get rid of it!"

"How am I supposed to get rid of it?"

"I don't know, kill it, hurt it, inflict mental anguish on it, just... do something! Weren't you a possum at some point?"

"What?!"

"Didn't Moody turn you into one on our fourth year? Go take out your brother!"

"It was a ferret" he corrected, upset. "And I don't see how that is relevant to this situation!"

"I don't know! But it's destroying my garden!" you complained, pulling Draco towards you and letting out a loud shriek when the possum hissed at the both of you. "Grab it!"

"I am not touching that thing" Draco complained, walking backwards.

"Well, then use your wand!"

"Why didn't you use your wand in the first place?"

"I -" you closed your mouth realizing you had no idea why you hadn't just used your wand to get rid of the animal and instead you had to yell for Draco's help. You felt a hint of blush in your cheeks and were grateful that Draco wasn't looking at you to notice. "I don't know, alright? I didn't think it through. Look what's done is done! Just get rid of it!"

"What's the magic word?"

"Seriously, Draco? You're choosing this moment to- AHH" you yelled again when the possum hissed at you, getting closer. "Alright, please! PLEASE GET RID OF THAT THING!" you yelled, pulling him closer by his shirt.

Draco rolled his eyes and pointed at the possum. "Evanesco" he instructed making the possum disappear in no time. "There, you big baby!"

"Um- thank you" you said, letting go of Draco and climbing off the table.

"You're welcome" he said, smirking smugly.

"You can wipe that smug smirk off your face now" you said, rolling your eyes as you walked out of the Greenhouse and into the kitchen.

"Oh, come on, (Y/N). I just saved your life" he said, following you.

"Oh, please, don't flatter yourself" you said with a chuckle. "You saved my garden, at best-"

"Really? Were you not screaming terrified when that possum had you hostage?"

"You are not going to let me live this down, are you?"

"Most likely, no" he admitted.

"Stop smirking like that-" you stopped when you saw past Draco and into the living room. "What the bloody hell happened here?" you said stepping in what you thought was the messiest thing that had happened in your flat. You turned around to see Draco getting his wand out but you quickly grabbed it from him. "Did you do this?" you asked with the same smirk he had only moments ago.
