Stiles POV

"But you are totally invading her- OUR privacy," I continue.

"You're the one who made her walk back home alone at night in the rain," Scott argues.

"That's what you were doing? Spying on our conversation? Well, technically it was spying in the past-"

"That doesn't even make any sense, Stiles!"

"You know I had no choice Scott, you would have done the same thing if you were in my situation. For Allison?"

He knows I have a point and we look back at his sister, we should just leave her to rest, she'll feel better in the morning hopefully. Scott probably agrees because he follows me into the living room. I think about my dad who is extremely busy in the station and I don't really want to sleep on my own at home. "So are you going to, y'know?"

"Their house? No, I can't stand it anymore, not today."

"Same, my dad is gonna stay at the station all night... is it alright if I crash here?"

"Just like you used to?"

"I don't want to be alone right now. I'm just- I'm scared, Scott."

"Well my parents are going to be home soon, so I can just sleep at yours if you'd like."

"We could but I don't want to leave Brooklyn here by herself."

I look around the house and it's a mess, "Brooklyn huh?"

He scoffs and nods.

"Oh hey, I was going to ask, why did you come here?"

"Oh, I um wanted to make sure Brooklyn was alright. I was watching her at the funeral and something seemed off. Well, of course, it would since Kira just died, but this time felt different, almost as if I knew she was going to do something bad when she got home.

After I helped Scott clean the living room, and I helped him with his homework, I crash onto the couch and think about what my dad said about the murders happening to my friends. "Void is bound to kill one more, a third, to make a pattern."

"What do you mean a pattern? Void didn't kill Liam, Stiles. That was Theo."

"I know, they already killed him so Void didn't need to. What if Void-"

"Stiles stop."

"No listen! What if they are being controlled by Void, Theo and Matt? It just- it proves my theory!"

"Are you hearing yourself right now? Those guys and the Nogitsune are not connected, there is no pattern here Stiles!"

"Oh but there is... and I'm going to prove it."

"You don't have to prove anything. We are going to take them down for what they did after we kill Void after we save you."

"You don't understand Scott. We can't just kill a thousand-year-old dark evil spirit unless-"

"Unless?"

"Unless I die while I'm in his possession."

"Well forget that option, because I'm not losing you."

"I can sacrifice myself, Scott. I can do it right now and everyone will be safe, everyone is dying and it's my fault!"

I don't want to die. But I know deep down that I'm never getting out of this alive so I should put an end to this misery now. I know it is going to hurt the people that love me, but I would much rather that than kill them. Void will leave once I'm gone, I'm sure of it. He wants me for some specific reason which I'm not going to wait around for to find out. Maybe that's just it. Maybe he just wants me dead. If only I were strong like Scott or Isaac then maybe I would stand a chance, but I'm only human and I am weak. I can't even protect myself, let alone Brooklyn, my friends, and my father.

I'm ready.

I'm ending everything tonight... just not inside this house. I'm going to leave a letter and leave. "I'm going to shower, you can change this movie, I can tell that you're bored of it," Scott tells me and I give him a smile. I grab a paper and pen,
