The blonde warrior was dragged down into the murky water by a creature that none could see. The Asgardians stood there in shock. Most believing it was impossible. The water was only at knee length for AllFather's sake.

"Fandral," Thor said dipping a finger in the water a just disappeared in.

"Thor I don't believe-" His brother started.

Before the younger prince could finish the mouth of a black creature latched onto his brother's hand. It had snow white skin that looked as if it flowed with the water. Parts of its flesh was ripped off revealing the dark blood and white bone underneath. Its eyes were pure gold, it looked demonic. Perhaps it was a demon. No, worse than that.

"Nøkken!" Sif yelled.

The white horse jerked on the blonde prince. Trying to drown him in the water as well.

"Someone grab Thor!" yelled Iwaldi

Nøkken were interesting creatures indeed. They could appear in any body of water and drag you down to the depths of their secret paths. Some say they take you into a portal to a limbo world. Between universes. But no one has ever lived to tell the tale.

"Arghhhhh!" Thor yelled as he tried to hold on.

Sif swung her sword at the Nøkken but before the blade touched it's nozzle it vanished into the murky waters. Sif turned to Sigyn before saying,

"I told you so,"

"Where's Fandral?" spoke Volstagg.

"Nøkken can appear in any body of water and then drag their victims down," said Loki moving closer to Thor.

"Well where do they go?" said Thor.

"No one knows, never lived to tell the tale," said Hogun.

Volstagg couldn't believe the words he heard. The once joyful big man and broken into a sobbing state. He didn't want to believe his friend had gone. No he couldn't.

"Sigyn, Loki! Use your damn magic and get Fandral back!"

"Volstagg they can't-" Iwaldi started.

He was silenced when he heard the water around them sloshing once more. The each gripped their weapon tightly, examining the water around them. The water moved once more in a different direction, and everyone turned. Fenrir let a deep growl as the chaos arised.

"Everyone run!" yelled Sigyn.

The troop ran through the water as three Nøkken chased behind them. Fenrir stayed back to hold them off and Thor, Sif and Hogun tried to pull a crying Volstagg out.

Sigyn froze. Her best friend fighting against three very powerful creatures. A man who just lost his best friend sobbing. Broken. Like her with her mother. No. She couldn't let that happen.

"Sigyn come on!" Loki screamed.

"Sig, get out of there!" Her father yelled from the shoreline.

She turned to face them and the others. Loki's face paling at the look on her face.

"Sigyn, don't," he said trying to reach for her.

"I'm sorry," Sigyn spoke before grabbing Lojal Verge and running towards the Nøkken.

"Sigyn no!" Loki yelled.

He went to run after her but was pulled back by Iwaldi.

"No! Let me go! Sigyn!"

She blocked out all the noises and ran straight for the Nøkken. Fenrir was holding them off with all his might when he heard Sigyn whistle. He turned around only to see his friend whizz past him and towards the beasts. She jumped towards one before disappearing to the water below. The rest followed the first one down to the depths of the unknown. Loki stood there in shock. She couldn't be gone. He'd curse all the gods if that happened. No. She was Sigyn. She was a survivor.
