(Five PoV.)

I nervously walk through my room. Y/n would have finished her work hours ago, but she still hadn't shown up at home. I'm really worried about her. Usually she let me know if she had anything else to do or where she was going. This is unusual for her normal circumstances. I waited a little longer until I couldn't take it anymore. I sprinted down the stairs, but suddenly Klaus came towards me and I ran into him.

"Yoho. Be careful- Wow, you look bad. Why in such a hurry, old man?" he asked me and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"It's none of your shit, Klaus." I hissed and pushed past him. But I heard his footsteps close behind me. I turned to him, grabbed his collar and pulled him down to me. So that his face was just in front of mine and I looked dangerously into his eyes.

"You listen to me now. Y/n hasn't come back home and I have to go find her. Either you shut up and help me, or you go back to your junkie friends and stuff that disgusting stuff inside you ." I barked at him and looked him in the eyes angrily. But he ignored it and looked at me with wide eyes.

"What? Y/n disappeared?" I rolled my eyes and nodded again.

"Help me or leave. Get that in your head." I flicked his forehead with it and let go of his collar.

"So what is it, will you help me now or not?"

"Of course I'll help you, old man. This is about my best friend, after all." he said in a surprisingly sober voice. I nodded and turned to walking again. Once out of the house, I looked all over town. I was with one of her friends (who was asleep and then kicked me out of his apartment), searched her favorite spot in the park, and even peeked into dark alleys and corners, hoping not to see her lying there naked or unconscious.

When I came back to the Academy in the morning, it was pure chaos. Everyone discussed and talked wildly.

"Shut up! What's going on here?!" I yelled at her. But now they were all talking to me at once.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP UP!" I screamed and they fell silent immediately.

"Somebody tell me what's going on here!" I yelled and glared at her. I didn't have the nerve to do it.

"We found Y/n's cell phone." said Diego and handed me the flat object. I looked at him in disbelief, but I took it and saw that it was indeed Y/n's cell phone. I panicked slightly again and looked up at my brother.

"Where did you find that?" my voice was shaking.

"On Church Street. A few blocks down from Griddy's Donuts." My brain was rattling.

"So she was on her way back after all. But what happened then?" I muttered to myself, turning the phone over in my hand. A crack runs along the lower half of the display. I hit the power button and a picture of Y/N and laughed at myself. Her (e/c) eyes beamed at me and a big smile graced her beautiful face while I just smiled at the camera. Tears formed in my eyes, but I immediately wiped them away.

"Guys, will you come please?" suddenly called Vanya from the room next door. I pulled myself together and then went into the next room with the others. There Vanya just pointed to the table where a cassette was lying on it. I went to the table and picked it up. It was a plain videocassette, but it had a distinctive red stripe down the side.

"I know where we can play them." Allison's voice suddenly sounded. Everyone turned to her and she explained that Pogo had shown her one of Dad's rooms, which also had an old tape recorder. So we made our way to this room.

"Wow. So our old man had even more to hide than he thought." I heard Klaus mumbling just behind me. I sighed, but I knew he was right. Reginald Hargreeves was a withdrawn old man who sadly hadn't been able to give his adoptees any attention at all without being able to keep thinking about their training or other stuff on his part. I shook my head to clear the thoughts and took a good look at everything in the room.

There were cassettes lying around in every corner, and each label was always a date. One cassette caught my eye and I picked it up. I read the date. But it was so old that the number was blurred and unrecognizable. I put it back and saw that Allison had already put the tape with the red stripe in the recorder. I walked forward and leaned on the chair she was sitting in.

Frowning, I watched the flickering light on the screen until it suddenly went black and I couldn't see anything. Suddenly you heard a soft 'click' and you could see an empty room. Well, almost empty. The camera panned to a small table with a suitcase on it. She then panned to the right, and the sight in front of me drained the color from my face.

A girl is sitting on a chair in the middle of the room. Her arms and legs were tied to the chair and a piece of tape was stuck over her mouth. The person holding the camera walked towards the girl, whose head was bowed to the floor. When she got close enough, you could see the bruises and cuts on her skin. Dry blood almost everywhere.

"Oh my god..." I heard Allison whisper half a meter in front of me.

Then the camera turned again and was positioned a few meters further. When the person who was just behind the camera ran towards the girl and revealed her shape, my heart sank deeper into my pants and all color slipped from my face. Her dress billowed and she didn't even appear to be walking, more like floating in her heels. As she stood next to the girl and turned her face to the camera, she grinned widely. She then roughly grabbed the girl's hair, who moaned in pain, and jerked her head back so that her hair fell to the side and her face could be seen.

"Shit-"

"Hello, Five. Did you miss me? Admit it, you missed me."
