Athena's POV.

"What makes you think we will accept your offer? Maybe...you have hopes we will have some sympathy since your dad is well known in the business area and he's also probably backing you up. I just don't see why you're here when everything was given to you..." the audacity and arrogance of some people makes me sick.

"And as far as I know, your job is to judge my product and decide if you want to invest in it. I'm not here for sympathy or to hear you make this kind of judgment on me." I replied confidently.

He chuckled like I was stupid. He's not even listening. He couldn't care less about me being here. He's clearly jealous of me.

In this moment, I remembered Arman. He would always handle situations like these for me. He would speak up for me and protect me. Now, I have to do it for myself. No one is coming to save me.

"I'm going to proceed with asking the other investors to please consider this new project of mine. I know that this project will be a success. I will prove certain people wrong. Thank you." I said before taking back my seat.

All is left is for them to vote. If the majority is in for this project, this will be an amazing start. But, if the majority is not in. I will have to do it all again. I've been working on it and trying to perfect it for years and years now. I have a lot of haters in this room, that's true. However, I have god on my side.

And with god's support, anything is possible.

Nathan's POV.

I won't let no one make me believe that I'm not worthy enough of her. Working at the company without my wife as my boss made a big change.

How did everyone knew? I don't know. But, they know.

And with Athena's father taking over the company, it made everything worse for me.

This man loves to play games with me and make me doubt. Despite me being married to his daughter. He loves to remind me that I am still not enough for her.

It doesn't affect me however everyone looking at me like I'm some sort of alien is so annoying. And to make it all worse, Tania stopped talking to me.

I don't get what I did. I asked her so many times yet she decides to just ignore me.

"Nathan" there's no way she just decided to talk to me.

"Tania. You're finally speaking to me." I said turning to her holding my cup of coffee.

"How have you been?" she asked.

"I'm good. Are we...good?" We clearly aren't but I'm still asking because she seems okay.

"I just wanted to tell you how I feel about you." she proceeded.

"Wait, you feel something towards me?" I'm confused.

I never did anything misleading towards her. I mean how I can even try when I'm madly in love with someone else.

"Yeah. I like you Nathan."

Shit.

"I thought meeting you was a gift to me. You're...the sweetest guy I've ever met. I know I didn't talk to you for about a month and I'm sorry. I needed time to process you marrying someone else."

I feel bad. I shouldn't but I do. I know what she feels like.

"I'm telling you so that I can move on. I'm also quitting." She said.
