Athena's POV.

I was so excited and happy. For two specific things. The first being, that I was meeting an investor in not so long and the second being going out after years with my best friends.

There's something about recreating memories from the past that once made us the happiest. It brings back a spark that was long left in the past.

It was around 5pm and I was getting ready. My outfit was all black. I wore a pair of black skinny jeans along with a white plain t-shirt and a black leather jacket. And, not to forget my black hijab. I looked at myself in the mirror and was glad with how I looked.

I used to hate looking at myself. All I'd see was pain and how messed up my life was. Life has completely changed now. I'm beyond grateful.

I made my way to the living room and saw Nathan working on his computer, eye-bags visible on his face with his pj's still on.

"Nathan"

"Mmh?" He looked up and saw me all dressed up to leave.

"Shit."

"If you don't want to join...it's okay. I understand if work is keeping you busy." I told him.

"No I—" he got up and stood in front of me grabbing my arms.

"I admit I'm a bit all over the place with work, home and everything in between but...I want to join you." He said sounding genuine.

"Give me just ten minutes and I'll be ready. Okay?" He added as I nodded.

He pecked my nose and then ran to our room to get changed while I sat on the couch waiting for him.

I saw that he had left his phone and felt like having a look at it. He had a picture of us on the Lock screen. Let's see what's my name like in his contacts.

He has kept my name as : Love with a heart. I smiled at that however it disappeared quickly when I saw how many missed calls he had from a caller name...trouble?

Who is this person called trouble? Is Nathan in trouble? Or is this a nickname for someone dear to him? Like Olivia? Wait...it can't be Olivia. There's already a caller named by her name.

I would never doubt him. But this, this is weird. And, I can't help but worry. I didn't want to ruin our night so I decided to ignore this and keep it in the corner of my mind. I'll ask him about it some other day at a better time.

"Do I look good?" He asked coming back to the living room.

I got up and took a look at him.

"You're always perfect even when you're a mess, here—" I got close to him and tried to place his messy hair correctly.

He began staring at me. Deep into my eyes.

"what?" I asked almost feeling intimidated.

"you really have to stop looking this perfect or you'll be the death of me" he said making my heart skip a beat.

I grabbed his collar and pulled him to me.

"You die before I do—I'll make you regret" I said before pressing my lips to his.

"How so?" He asked chuckling and pulling away.

"I won't let you die before I do" I was teasing him.

"you think I'll be able to breathe without you?" he then asked.

"I pray we never leave each other" I said.

"Me too" he kissed me.

"I don't want go through such loss and suffering" he said kissing me again and not letting go this time.
