The little girl woke up with tears streaming down her face. Her cries echoed the room causing her daddy to stir awake and frantically run into her room. He quickly picked up the little girl and cradled her in his arms. Her cries quickly disappeared and she climbed out of her daddy's arms. She then tip toed into the bathroom and noticed something different on her neck. There lay a silver necklace with someone's name engraved into a heart.
Isabelle studied the delicate piece of jewelry on her neck before running out of the bathroom and into her daddy's arms. Luke quickly engulfed his little princess in his arms and kissed her forehead. She quickly pulled apart and shined the necklace before her daddy's eyes. His eyes widened in shock and his breathing began to become uneven. Tears brimmed his eyes and chills shot throughout his body. He quickly backed into a corner and began rocking back and forth. The little girl watched her daddy in shock and ran to his room. She searched for his phone and soon found it under a letter. Isabelle picked up the letter and ran back to find her daddy curled up into a ball.
Meanwhile, Calum and Michael were pulling into the driveway, when they heard screaming and crying from inside the house. They quickly ran in and found themselves staring at poor Luke on the floor. He was a mess. His breathing was uneven, his face was frozen in shock, his eyes were bloodshot red, and his skin was pale as a ghost. The boys then called 911 and they took Luke away in an ambulance, leaving Isabelle to crawl into Michael's arms. She always enjoyed his bear hugs and Uncle Mikey cuddles.
They all then hopped into a car and drove to the Hospital. On arrival, they were told what was going on with Luke. The doctors said, he had gone into a state of shock. Something triggered his memory causing him to have a mental breakdown, but he was fine now. He was to be kept in the hospital for at least two days. The four then went up to his room and Isabelle rushed into her daddy's arms. A grin spread across his face at the sight of his daughter. She then pulled out of her daddy's embrace and handed him the letter. His eyes filled with tears at the sight of HER messy hand writing written across the envelope.
It read "To Luke, everything I could never tell you." He stared at the letter for a brief second before dragging his fingers across the envelope and ripping it open. His eyes then began to scan the letter,
"Dear Luke,
Let me tell you a story,
There they were, holding hands through the hallways of high school. They were known to be the "it" couple. The boy had been in love with the girl since they first became best friends in preschool. The girl loved the boy to pieces. The couple was inseparable and was always there for one another. They believed nothing could ever break them up and only hoped for the best in the future. Every time the boy did a sweet simple gesture such as kissing the girls cheek, her stomach erupted with endless butterflies causing her to blush. The boy always managed to blush when the girl complimented him. They were the perfect ideal couple. And with that, they walked out of the schools doors while the boy whispered in the girls ear,
"Don't ever leave me."
And with that the boy swooped the girl up in his arms causing her to giggle, while he leaned down and gave her a gentle Eskimo kiss.
Remember that? That was us. Those were the good days, where we would have the stupidest fights, cuddle whenever we want, and tell each other I love you whenever we got the chance. We were teenagers then, and now we're young adults. Luke, this isn't easy to say, but God I love you so fucking much and I need you to know this is for the best. Whatever we had, is in the past. I need you to get over me, even though I still love you. I'm sorry for leaving you on that alter, but I just couldn't marry you, knowing I cheated on you with Ashton. I was drunk and so was he and it sorta happened. I'm so sorry, I'm such a fuck up. But, Luke you need to move on and find someone better than me, someone who will take care of you and Isabelle. I love you. Just remember, maybe we're meant to lose the ones we love but I'll fight for you till then.
Love,
Jessiyln"By then, tears were flowing out of Luke's eyes nonstop and his body began to tremble again. His heart beat began to quicken and soon a swarm of doctors came into the room. They started hooking tubes into Luke as his panicked screams echoed throughout the room. Calum, Michael, and Isabelle were soon escorted out of the room and they took one last glance at the poor boy, having a panic attack before leaving in a heap of tears.
