Recap:

"Valerie."

"Oh shit."

****At brunch after the funeral****

The funeral was beautiful. Many people came, gave speeches, and left their blessings to the family. Luke was actually happy. Not because of Jess's death, but because she could finally be in peace. She could be happy and not have to worry about maintaining a job to afford a crappy house or work to see her daughter, she was finally free and Luke couldn't be happier.

Currently, Him, Val, and the boys, including Ashton were eating Chinese food at Jess's favorite restaurant. Yes, Ashton and the boys made up. They talked out their issues, hugs and tears were exchanged, and Calum even apologized for physically hurting and screaming at Ashton. They were back to being the old 4 musketeers. As silly as it sounds, they were all meant to be buddy's, forever making fun of each other, laughing at each others stupid jokes, and just being big goofballs together.

Surprisingly, everybody was getting along, especially Valerie and Luke. They had this bond, whether it was because of their connection to Jess or not, the two were special. It was like they were supposed to meet, like they were meant to be together. No matter, how bad it sounded, Luke was catching feelings for the girl and he couldn't control them, as was Valerie herself. There was no doubt in Luke's mind that tonight would be the night he would finally be happy.

****After brunch****

Luke had offered to drop everybody off at their houses, of course after saying their final farewells to Jess's family. The whole gang got into the car and began their long journey to each other's houses.

10 minutes had nearly passed and the car ride had consisted of screaming, yelling, and belting out lyrics. Despite they had just come from a funeral, they were having the time of their lives. It was like life couldn't get any better and things were finally coming into place.

An hour and a half later everybody had been dropped off besides Valerie. It turns out, Luke and Valerie live down the street from each other, they just never noticed each one another. Luke quickly turned down the street causing Valerie to hit her shoulder against the window. Whimpers slowly left her mouth and Luke abruptly stopped the car to see if she was okay.

"Oh my gosh, Val, are you okay? Wait can I call you Val? but anyway I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen."

Luke kept blabbing his mouth causing Valerie to erupt in short giggles, while her lips curved into a big grin. The blonde boy noticed her change in mood and his lips curved into a grin also. Luke then cupped Val's face and sent her a wink before leaning in. As soon as their lips touched, each of their stomachs felt like a zoo erupted in them. As nasty as it sounds, their tongues danced together, each fighting for dominance, Luke of course winning. His lips tasted of mint, while Val's were just like cotton candy. With each hungry kiss, the two grew infatuated with one another. They soon pulled apart, while Val left a lingering peck on Luke's lips causing him to giggle, like a little school girl.

She quickly got out of the car, winking at Luke before blowing him a kiss and saying,

"See you around Blondie, maybe tomorrow at the park?"

Luke only nodded before speeding down the street with a huge smile on his face.
