Strange feelings

Chapter 7

When Ruby wakes up the next day Jane's arm is wrapped around her stomach.

It takes her a second to realize what happened, but when she does she starts heavily blushing and takes Jane's arm off of her.

She stepped out of bed and walked to the kitchen.

Ruby started making some breakfast for her and Jane.

When she finished she brought the pancakes to her room to wake up Jane.

She placed the pancakes on the nightstand and looked at herself in the mirror.

Oh my, she looked like shit!

She quickly fixed her hair but she accidentally dropped her hairbrush which caused Jane to wake up.

Ruby?

Hii, goodmorning!

It smells good in here.

Oh yea I made us some pancakes.

Mmhmm I love pancakes. Jane says while taking a bite of her pancake.

They eat their breakfast and get dressed.

Suddenly Ruby remembers what was going to happen today, she had to sit down for a minute.

Hey, you okay? Jane asks.

Yea I'm fine, I'm just scared.

I'm scared too, but we're going to be okay, I promise.

Jane hugs her and then they hear a knock at the door, It was Lilly.

So, what's our plan? Lilly asks.

Uhm I don't know, I suggest we could get some knives and stab that thing! Jane says.

Lilly: Seriously, Jane?

Jane: What?

Lilly: You want to stab a 'shadow'!?

Jane: Oh yea that sounds stupid.

Ruby: I think you should leave the shadow over for me.

Jane: But, where do we need weapons for then? If their useless anyways.

Lilly: you can never be too careful. Besides, maybe that shadow has an army of monsters.

Ruby: How are we going to get weapons? We're all 15 and I don't think we can buy guns and all that shit.

Lilly: well uhm, I think I know someone that has a fake ID, we could ask her to buy weapons.

Ruby has a feeling she knows who Lilly is going to say.

No, nope, absolutely not! I don't want her to know anything about this! Ruby says.

But, Ruby think about it! It's our only option. Lilly sputters.

I'm sure there will be a better option! Besides, do you really think she'll help us? After what I've done to her!

Ruby's eyes start to tear up.

Wait, wait, what are we talking about? Jane asks confused.

Lilly wants to ask Sofia to help us!

Oh, well if that's our only option. I mean, you guys used to be friends. How bad can she be?

Fine, we'll ask her for help. But we won't tell her about the shadow or my powers! Ruby says.

But then it's going to be impossible to convince her to help us! We have to tell her the truth ruby! Lilly protests.

But, what if she tells anyone?

She won't, like jane said; we used to be friends we can trust her. Lilly says while putting her hand on Ruby's shoulder.

Alright then, you guys convinced me. Lets go to Sofia's house.

They go outside on their way to Sofia
