Strange feelings

Chapter 9

Ruby's POV:

Did everything go well? Lilly asks.

I have a feeling that everyone was judging me a lot, but when is showed them the fake ID I didn't hear anyone complain. Sofia says.

Alright, so what's our plan? Jane asks.

Uhm guys? Can I like, guard the gate? I really don't want to go in there. Sofia says.

We don't even know what's in there, maybe there's nothing to worry about. Ruby says, but she was really doubting her own words.

Maybe Sofia's idea isn't as bad, what if something happens and we don't get out, she can get help! Lilly says.

Ruby starts to get a big headache again, but this time she isn't at the field, she didn't even pass out.

Her vision got blurry and she heard a voice say repeatedly: Hurry up!

She put her hands on her ears and closes her eyes, trying to make It stop.

Are you okay Ruby? Jane asks worried.

Ruby opens her eyes again and she sees Jane, Sofia and Lilly Standing around her with worried faces.

I'm fine, we need to hurry! Ruby exclaims.

The four girls arrive at the old house and they walk upstairs to the attic.

It's here. Ruby says pointing at the crack in the wall.

Are you guys still sure you want to help me? this is going to be extremely dangerous and I don't want anyone to get hurt! Ruby says, her voice is shaky.

We're going to be fine, we have these guys, remember? Lilly says while grabbing a knife.

Alright, then I'll do it. Ruby says.

She takes a big breath and points her hand to the crack, she feels someone grabbing her other hand and sees that its Jane.

You're going to do great, I trust you. Jane whispers and Ruby blushes.

Jane squeezes Ruby's hand a bit and then lets go of it.

Ruby focuses on opening the gate and a light beam shoots out of her hand and hits the wall.

It begins to light up and dark vines start coming out of the crack and breaking up the wall.

The floor begins to shake and Ruby almost falls over, there is now a big hole In the wall with a strange light coming from the other side.

All this takes up way more energy then Ruby expected and falls into Jane's arms who has been standing behind her this whole time.

Ruby is gasping for air and for a split second she thought she was going to die, but she didn't.

After a minute or so Ruby felt okay again and she calmed down a bit.

You okay? Jane asks with a red, but worried face.

Yeah, I'm fine. Ruby gets up and walks up to the big hole that had just opened in the wall and places her hand on it.

Her fingertips went trough and she immediately pulled them back again.

It felt wet, but her hand was completely dry. Ruby looked at her hand and then back to her friends.

Should we go trough? She asks.

I'm ready. Lilly says.

Good luck guys! I'll be here guarding the gate. Sofia says.

Sofia, if we don't come back.. just get help okay? Ruby says.

Yes of course, but you'll come back right?

Ruby takes a deep breath and answers with a soft 'yea'.

Alright then, lets go! Jane says nodding to the portal.

Ruby can see Jane is very scared, she walks up to her and grabs her hand.

It's going to be okay. Ruby whispers.

Jane smiles and nods. I trust you. She whispers back.

The three girls walk up to the portal holding each others hands, Ruby in the middle.

They look at each other and then go trough the portal.

Bye Sofia, see you soon! Lilly says.

Then Sofia is all alone, or is she?

She hears someone open the door. 

Holy shit what happened here?! A manly voice says.
