"Look at you my little baker," Liza smiled in relief. "You certainly have been busy."
"We wanted to let you sleep as long as possible," Luke explained watching her closely.
"You didn't have to but thank you," she said as she walked into the kitchen.
"Wanna bite, Mommy?" Kiairi asked holding up a cookie covered in pink icing and sprinkles.
"After Mommy eats some dinner," North said coming up behind her. "It's time for her medicine, why don't you go get Doc and let him know, please?"
"Otay," Kiairi said as Luke helped her wash her hands then removed her hat and apron for her.
"Sorry you had to watch her, Kyler still at the library?" She asked as she absentmindedly held her arm closer to her chest.
"No," North shook his head, "Axel got a call just as Kyler came in about a shipment of seahorses or something and asked if he wanted to join him. They will be back later tonight."
"How long did I sleep?" She asked confused as she watched Luke start to clean up. "I can do that."
"No can do, Cupcake," Luke chuckled, "I made the mess I have to clean it up."
"You slept about six hours," North explained as he pulled her onto a chair at the island. "You needed it."
"I'm so sorry," she groaned.
"Why?" they both asked confused.
"You had to watch my daughter for so long," she frowned. "I'm sure you had important things to do."
They both chuckled and shook their heads, "They got done," North explained. She looked at him confused, "One of the good things about our family being so large is that there are so many of us. A few of us stayed here with you and Little One while the ones that needed to get stuff done did and when they were done we swapped out if we needed to but most of us were able to get everything done on our phones or laptops. Everything still got done that needed to be done, promise."
"You better not be lying to me," She pointed her finger at him and spoke in her Mom tone. "You'll be in trouble if I find out you lied."
"Yes Ma'am," both nodded while forcing back groans.
"Hey Pookie, how are you feeling?" Sean asked as he came into the room. He noticed her holding her arm and asked, "would you like to try a sling to see if it helps?"
"Okay," she nodded not liking how all three were assessing her. "It hurts."
"I'll make you a quick snack," North said heading to the fridge.
"I need to go to the store," she shook her head.
"No you don't," Marc said walking into the kitchen, "we went shopping while you were napping Sleeping Beauty," he smirked as he grabbed the items from North.
"You didn't," she gasped.
"We did Princess," Victor smirked as he came up behind her. "Now come on, let's get out of their way. Little Princess is wanting to me to teach her so come watch."
"Teach her?" She asked confused then gasped as he picked her up. "Isn't she too young?"
Victor burst out laughing, "Oh Princess," he beamed, "no she's not. And unlike how I was taught, I can make it lots of fun so she's learning without even realizing it."
"What if she wants to learn every day?" She asked as Victor carried her across the yard to their house.
"Then I will gladly teach her every day," he said as Kota opened the door just as they approached it.
She looked shocked and confused making Kota chuckle, "Cameras."
"Oh," she whispered.
"Oy, there you are," Gabe smirked as he came down the stairs. "Perfect fu...freaking time," he corrected, "after dinner, I'm taking you to my place."
"What?" She asked confused.
"My salon so I can wash your hair," he chuckled. "You can't get your hand wet so I'm going to wash your freaking hair for you."
"Oh," she frowned when it dawned on him that he was telling the truth.
"Just think of it as a spa treatment, Princess," Victor smirked as he sat her on the couch. "It pretty much is, I love when he washes and cuts my hair for me."
"Oh yeah," Luke nodded in agreement as he came into the room and sat next to her. "He does all our hair, even makes our shampoos and sh...stuff."
"Me too!" Kiairi beamed turning around to look at them. "Me pwincess me too."
"Of course," Gabe smirked. "You get the princess treatment too, silly girl."
"Yay!"
"Alright, now let's play for Mommy," Victor said picking her up and setting her in his lap. He picked up her hands and asked, "Ready?" She nodded and he smiled, "Let's play."
