VIII - Movie night

~ Max POV ~

Today we had planned a movie night at Mike his house. Aka the usual hang out spot. We kind of use their basement now to just hang out and stuff like that. Although I must admit that I totally forgot that we had this movie night today. I must have been so busy worrying about other stuff that this just slipped my mind. But now that I got reminded again that we were having a movie night, I was excited. Finally some distraction from school and that stress it brings with it. Although we've just started the year, it already felt like we had a dozen of projects to do. And those rude ass kids in our class don't really help with reducing the stress.

El and I were racing to the Wheelers their house. I know that all the boys were going to be there and Robin and Steve too. And Ofcourse Nancy was there too. When we arrive at the Wheelers their house I barely won by a few seconds from El. "Yes! I still got it." I smirk at El as she gave me a toothy smile. "You're so fast. My god." El huffs out of breath. I catch my breath too as I look at her. "They don't call me Madmax for nothing." I chuckle softly as I look at Mike's house. All the bikes of the boys were already laying in front of the house, but Steve his car was no where to be seen yet.

"Oh my god, El I suddenly have the best idea." I grin as I meet El her eyes as she parks her bike. "What is it?" She asks as her head tilts to the right ever so slightly. "Robs is coming too right?" I ask with the biggest smirk on my face. "Yes? What are you up too?" El asks with a chuckle. "Nance is here too right? And they still haven't admitted that they like each other even tho we kind of spied on them and we know they had their moment." I explain soft enough only for Sl to hear. "After that day they have been avoiding each other, because I think they are scared to admit their feelings. SO what if get them together? Like, play matchmaker. We know they like each other. I mean, obviously, since they literally made out and who knows what else that day." I continue with a smirk. El her eyes light up as her lips curl into a smirk too. "That's such a good idea. Yes! And we can take them on a double date." El suggests as she looks at me with a grin. "This is why I love you so much. That's a great idea! Let's do this." I state with confidence as I look at El proudly. "First we have to make sure Nancy will join us with movie night. Since she's probably studying in her room. And after that day with Robin they kinda avoided each other, so we have to make sure they are together in the same room again first." I plan out as El nods. "Let operation Ro-nance begin !" El cheers softly as she smirks at me. "Did you just come up with that name?" I chuckle with a grin. "Yes-" El blushes as she meets my eyes. "I love you so much. You're literally the cutest." I smile as I peck her lips before we rang the doorbell and make our way inside.

We greet Mike his parents as we make our way down the stairs to the basement. Meeting the boys there. "Yoo bimboos." I greet them all with a chuckle. "If that isn't our power couple." Dustin jokes as we came walking down. "It is indeed." I smirk as I walk up to the boys as I held El her hand. "Hey guys." Lucas waves awkwardly at me and El. "Hey stalker." I chuckle as I found it kind of funny how awkward Lucas had become when me and El became a couple. But he was at least coming to terms with it. Mike on the other hand acted weirdly strange. It wasn't really jealousy toward me and El as a person, but more like jealousy that he wanted what we had. "Hey! There you guys are, I thought you already left school so I already made my way to here. If I knew you guys were still there, I would have waited." Will smiles as he looks at us. "Yeah no worries Will, we got held up after PE." I grin as I look at Will. El her cheeks turn red as the boys stare at us. "You two got held up after PE? Oh let me guess, by each other in the locker rooms?" Dustin chuckles. "okay, gross." Mike groans as he looks away quickly. "You're just jealous Wheeler." I grin as he rolls his eyes. Lucas looks away too as I turn to El. "Where are Robin and Steve?" El asks as she looks around. "They must be on their way, they just finished work. But they were going to stop for pizza on the way." Dustin explains as El nods her head. "And what about Nancy?" I ask Mike as he looks confused at me. "What about her?" he asks as he raises his eyebrow. "Isn't she coming?" I ask as I quickly look at El. "I don't know. Probably not. She must be upstairs writing or something." Mike explains as he was clearing the table from his previous DND game. I look at El as I meet her eyes. She nods softly as I smile. We had to get Nancy downstairs. But how? But first we had to wait on Robin.
