Admiring From Afar

Wooo! Finally, our last class has finished! I grabbed my bag and went out of our classroom, I smiled as I remembered, I can finally see the person I admire. Every end of class, I make sure that I see him. His curly black hair that he fixes all the time, his blue sweater that he wears even when it's sunny out, I don't know why but he doesn't get hot even at this temperature.

I ran down the stairs, I saw a crowd of students but he was no where in sight. I would always see him immediately since he stands out with that blue sweater. I thought to myself, maybe he went out of the school already? That's unusual, he would usually be in the school's hallways. But I didn't mind much, I made my way out of the busy crowd and tried to find him outside, It's so sunny I feel like I'm going to die from the heat!

Okay, he's still nowhere in sight.. Maybe he's at the other building? He must be at the teacher's office. I went inside the elementary building but no, I still didn't see him. I thought to myself, he probably went home already.

I sat at the waiting area at the elementary building and took my phone out, I saw a chat, It was my grandfather telling me that he'll pick me up soon. I spoke to my friends about the person I had a crush on, Let's call him Jairo. All of my friends know about my huge crush on him, well ofcourse it's because I speak too much, I share so many things with people.

My friend Mary told me that there was a rumor going around that Jairo had a girlfriend, my heart sunk. On the way home, I kept thinking about it, there was a chance that he really had a girlfriend, I mean if you look at him, he could pull all the women in our school!! But ofcourse, I stayed positive, let's look at the bright side of things, not always the bad sides. I thought to myself, it's just rumors, right? It couldn't be that bad..

When I got home, I immediately searched his name on Facebook, just a usual profile, doesn't look like he posts about his girlfriend ( If he had one! ) . I decided that I would add friend him, who knows, maybe he'll accept?

Well, a few days later, still no notification saying that he accepted my friend request.. So me and my friend, Ces Castile, decided that we're going to approach him to let him know about my friend request. Me and Ces went out of the classroom right after our last class ended, we were walking down the stairs, but this time, there was not a huge crowd. I saw Jairo walking out of his classroom, suddenly, Ces approached him. My heart started beating so fast and my hands were shaking, "Hey, my friend has something to tell you" Ces said. OH GOD! Right after those words came out of her mouth I regretted planning all this, I was so nervous I felt like I couldn't do it.

I slowly approached him, "Hi! Could you kindly accept my request on Facebook?" I giggled while saying that, it was so embarrassing I wanted to die after that! He didn't look at me and he looked uncomfortable, I felt so sorry. He then said "Okay" while looking at the ground and not making any eye contact.

I then left after that and said thank you, that was so embarrassing I would never do that ever again in my whole entire life. Once I got home, I immediately told all of my friends what happened, I was jumping from hapiness, that short conversation made my whole entire year, yes, I'm like that, I get happy from the bare minimum.

A few days later, I finally got a notification saying,

I was so shocked since I thought he forgot about it or didn't want to accept my friend request. I jumped out of excitement, my hands were shaking so much. I immediately told my friends about it and they were so happy for me! I didn't want to chat him immediately since that could make him uncomfortable so I tried to stop myself.

I wondered, is this the start of our story?
