A/N:

I wrote too much, so this note is short, ok?

PS. I don't mind any of Floyds wives (I actually like them), so everything it's just for storyline :)

7 years later - 1973

You walked shakily out of the Registry Office and looked at your copy of the divorce papers. This was the end of your first marriage; you were now a divorcee and actually felt great about it. No incriminating name, just (Y/N) (L/N) as before.

You took a breath of fresh air and tucked a strand of hair that had fallen out of your bun behind your ear. For the first time in five years you felt free.

You and Tony, well, it wasn't a successful marriage. Things started to go wrong early on because it turned out that your now ex-husband was dreaming of having a bunch of kids when you weren't ready, in fact you didn't know if you even wanted one. He was willing to wait, but you could sense that this did not satisfy him at all. Another problem was that Tony travelled a lot, all the time to America and back and so on several times a month. If you wanted to spend more time with him you would have to quit your job, and there was no chance of that. You loved your job and your life would become boring and pointless after a while.

However, for the four years you made it all bearable, especially as you became very attached to him. Nick disappeared from your life, you didn't see him for that time, which actually allowed you to pay attention to Tony, who, even despite the bickering, still loved you very much by giving you mountains of presents and spoiling you in every possible way.

However, the idyll did not last long; more precisely until one November evening in 1970. The beginning of the end of your marriage.

You went with your girlfriends to a club, who decided to take you out while your husband was away. A quick trip to the club.

You had a few drinks, danced a bit and were having a really enjoyable time when your eyes caught sight of a beautiful blonde woman talking to a dark-haired man. You didn't know what tempted you, but you walked almost next to them ordering a drink and eavesdropping on their conversation.

"Lindy, don't worry sweetie, Holly is safe in the care of her grandparents after all." said an all too familiar male voice, and you ran your eyes over the counter playing with the little umbrella in your drink.

"Oh Nick, I know, but I'm just as worried as ever." replied the woman, and you became misty eyed. This couldn't be true.

"It's true, sometimes you worry too much, but I still love you very much, my beautiful lady." you heard his voice again. You felt that you were probably going to faint in a moment. This was your worst nightmare!

You were dizzy and would have almost fallen to the ground if you hadn't held onto the bar top at the last moment. You lifted your gaze to realize what was happening, and that's when you met his gaze.

The most gorgeous eyes you had ever seen in your life. That unparalleled electric green, shining in the dim lights of the club. The only ones that could convince you of anything. And although their wearer was now twenty-six, not twenty-two, they still remained just as perfect.

Your mind was going crazy; all the red lights in your head started to flicker, and you felt like vomiting. You wanted to die. Or disappear. Whatever, just not to look at him.

Intuitively, you took your wallet out of your purse, threw ten quid on the countertop and ran out. The whole world swirled around you as you made your way at a run through the congested streets of London. You had left your car outside the club, but in that moment you completely forgot about it, drawn by the fury of the moment.
