Kendall woke up to Delvin staring her in the face, meowing as if to tell her to get out of bed. She stirred, causing the cat to snuggle up to her.

"All right, all right... I'm up..." Kendall muttered, slowly dragging herself out of bed. "Goodness... happy now?"

Delvin meowed before leading her out to the Archive, where Cere, Bode, and Cordova had already begun their day at the holotables. Cere glanced over as the Loth cat hopped onto the table she was at and began pawing at the machinery.

"Oh, Delvin..." She gently pulled him off the table before glancing at Kendall. "Have you heard the latest news?"

"No," Kendall replied, shaking her head. "I don't believe I have."

Cere sighed softly. "The Empire found us on Jabiim. Roken got everyone offworld, but... a fight was inevitable."

Jabiim-?  Kendall's eyes widened slightly. So the Empire had discovered the very heart  of the Path... how many safehouses remained now...? There was this one, the one in Dantooine...

"They regrouped on Tessen from what I heard," Cere continued, a tinge of concern in her voice. "There isn't much Imperial presence there, but... that doesn't mean there is none. It's a small outpost with an armory and a training camp. That's it- the rest of Tessen is one large forest."

"That could work to our advantage," Kendall mused softly. "I mean, the trees could give cover, depending on the location."

"Indeed," Cere confirmed. "I just hope they have a better location to set up in than Kaller... I mean, who sets up their safehouse in an abandoned cantina? In a functional town  more or less?"

"Maybe whoever was in charge of Kaller decided their clients could use a drink," Bode commented sarcastically from another table.

Kendall sideyed him. "Very funny."

"On the bright side, once Master Cordova's got that compass fixed, we can tell Roken that we have a new location for the Hidden Path," Cere said with a small smile. Kendall noticed a dark look briefly cross Bode's face as these words were uttered. "Then once we get everything set up, we can work on duplicating the compass."

From the corner of her eye, she noticed Cal walking in before approaching Cordova. The two exchanged a few words about the story of Dagan Gera and how it related to Cordova's own  story...

"How's it coming-?" Cal asked after a moment. Kendall glanced up, approaching Cordova's table.

"See for yourself," Was the old man's elated response as he set down the compass. Kendall watched as the device was activated, emitting a faint buzzing sound, which meant...

"Master Cordova," Cal breathed. "You did it-!"

The blaring of the klaxons interrupted the celebratory air, and Cere immediately hurried over to the central table where Delvin sat hissing at his surroundings. "Imperial forces coming in from all sides- they found us! "

"Get your people out," Cal urged. "I'll hold them off as long as they-"

BD-1 beeped as Kendall turned to see Bode aiming a pistol right at Cordova's chest. Her eyes widened as the atmosphere turned dark, and she sensed the Imperials getting ever so closer...

"Bode-?" Cal's voice held the same amount of horror as Kendall felt in that moment.

"I'm really sorry about this." Akuna just looked at the others, a hint of regret in his eyes... but also... determination. What goal was he so determined to achieve...?
