Chapter 16: Shiny Find

It was now month 4 of you being pregnant. Your belly had gotten a little bigger since the day you and Adaman got married. Mai had been making you some maternity clothes for when you could barely fit in your Survey Corps uniform. Until then, you kinda still could. You were small for your age. Even then, since you're now married to the Diamond Clan's leader, you were thinking about joining the clan after finishing the Pokédex; filling in one more entry. But Adaman didn't want you to do it alone. He insisted on going with you to make sure you and the baby don't get hurt. You couldn't refuse. You'd be scared going out into the wild on your own while you're pregnant.

You and Adaman decided to go check out a mass outbreak at Coronet Highlands. There was an outbreak of a certain Pokémon you needed to complete the Pokédex and it's page for: Gible. So Adaman helped you get to the outbreak and readied your Wing Balls for catching the Gible in. "Be careful, honey." Adaman tells you, handing you a ball. "I'll be fine," you said, taking the ball in your hand, "besides, I'm staying as far as I can from these Gible." So you threw the Wing Ball at a Gible and caught it.

Just then, a shiny Gible spawned! It surprised you. But you made sure to keep your enthused tone down as to not get the Gible's attention. You put your hands over your mouth and muffled, "Oh, Sinnoh! A shiny Gible!" You look over at Adaman, whose eyes were wide open. "Never seen a Pokémon in a different color like that before." he says. He then looks at you, asking, "Have you found any shinies even before you fell from the sky?" "All the time," you said, "though I'm sure to miss those ones. I even had a shiny Girafarig." You pull out your Arc Phone and show Adaman a picture of your shiny Girafarig named Riggs. "Ooh, pretty." he says. "Yeah," I said, "he was a well-behaved Pokémon. Why even here, I've only found one shiny. Well, two now because the Gible, but one before was a Shinx." "Ooh, what color is that shiny?" Adaman asks. "A sunflower-y yellow." you said. "Ooh, nice." Adaman says.

Just as you both turned your attention back to the Gible outbreak, you both see the shiny one walk up curiously to the both of you. The others, for some reason, stayed away. Adaman was afraid the Gible would hurt you, so he put his hand on your belly, but as Gible stopped in front of you both, it didn't attack. It just sat down on the ground at your feet and nuzzled it's head on it. That's when you decided to use an Ultra Ball on it and it stayed in there. "That was weird." Adaman said. "I think it senses that I'm pregnant and just chose to take it easy." you said. Adaman nods in agreement. You pick up the ball and tucked it into your satchel.
