Percy's POV

THE HAT SCREAMED, 'Hufflepuff!'

Percy gave a sigh of relief. He wasn't in Slytherin – Harry had told him about Slytherin's reputation, and despite it being slightly prejudiced, Percy didn't want much to do with it.

He was pretty sure that Hufflepuff was the house with the cool yellow and black theme. He stood up from the creaky wooden stool, and walked over to the table, where a few students greeted him.

He sat down away from the first years; Percy thought that it would look a bit weird if a sixteen-year-old sat amongst people over half his height.

Dumbledore, the headmaster, stood up at the front, and immediately everyone quietened down.

'Welcome to another year at Hogwarts.' he addressed the school. 'Before we begin our banquet, I would like to say a few words. And here they are: Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak!' Dumbledore looked entirely serious. 'Thank you.' He calmly sat down. (AN: Pretend that this wasn't in the first book.)

Percy was absolutely delighted as heaps of food appeared on the table like magic (haha). An entire roast meal, with beef, chicken, sausages and bacon, along with yorkshire pudding, carrots, peas, roast potatoes, gravy and also mint humbugs, much to Percy's confusion.

'Psst. Percy! Mate, turn around!' A voice called for him. Percy did indeed turn around, and was met with the face of Neville Longbottom.

'Neville?! What are you doing here?'

'Umm, I go here! Duh!' Neville smiled. Some of his friends on the other side of Gryffindor Table looked confused as to why Neville knew the strange American Hufflepuff dude, but if Neville noticed, he didn't show it.

'Nev, How d'you know that guy?' A pudgy Gryffindor boy said, raising an eyebrow.

'Oh, come on, Mate. He's my friend from outside Hogwarts.' Neville gave him a look that said Why do you care so much?. The guy shrugged and went back to his roast chicken.

'What we should be asking,' Neville's eyes bored into him, 'is what are you doing here?'

Percy scratched the back of his head. 'Well, I'll tell you the full story later, but... see, I was planning on coming back to England for a few days, since I used to live here. I was going to meet up with Harry. But then I randomly got my letter, and now I'm here!' Percy finished.

'Harry? You mean Harry Potter?' Percy nodded, and Neville beamed. 'Nice guy, him. So, you said "meet up". Did you know him before you got your letter?'

Percy grinned. 'I know him very well. Actually,' He leaned in and gestured for Neville to do the same. 'he's my brother.'

Nevilles' face drooped in shock. 'He didn't tell me he had a brother. Or siblings of literally any kind.'

'I didn't think he would. I didn't tell anyone either. But yeah. We're twins.'

'Seriously? I'm... not going to say anything, since I have far too many questions.' he laughed.

Percy fully swivelled around to face Neville. He made sure no one was listening in. 'So, you can't be the only demigod here, right?'

Neville smiled. 'Nope. You know Luna Lovegood? Daughter of Iris?' Percy gave him a look of recognition. 'She's in Ravenclaw!' Percy looked over at Ravenclaw Table. Luna was trying to get his attention. She smiled and waved to him. Percy waved back.

Neville continued. 'And... Well, uhh, D– Do you remember Cedric? Cedric Diggory?' Percy bit his lip. Cedric had died in a situation outside of camp two years ago, and Percy hadn't even known until he didn't show up one summer.

'Yeah. The son of Hermes. Is... Was he a wizard too?'

'Yep. He was a Hufflepuff, like you. He died in the Triwizard Tournament.' Percy frowned.

'What's that?'

'It's this event which was held at Hogwarts in my fourth year here. It had a solid chance of killing you if you entered, and Cedric decided to take a chance.' Neville sighed. 'Except, unbeknownst to Dumbledore or any of the teachers, the trophy at the end of the final challenge was a Portkey.'

Percy's eyes widened. He didn't have the words to ask what unbeknownst meant.

'Harry and Cedric both grabbed it at the same time, so it teleported both of them away. Cedric was killed by Y– You-Know-Who, and Harry... brought Cedric's body back to his father.'

'Oh my gods...' Percy said, petrified.

'There could be way more demigods here, but I'm not actually sure.' Neville shook his head. 'Gods, I can't believe I didn't notice Harry was a demigod. A son of Poseidon, one of the big three, too!'

Percy shrugged. 'Yeah. Apparently we're quite hard not to notice.'

'Mhm. I guess I didn't manage to connect the dots. You know, Cedric used to try and find unclaimed demigods and give them Camp Half Blood's location in case they were to be attacked or something.'

Professor McGonagall tapped her goblet with a spoon, causing a ting ting ting to echo through the hall, signalling the feast's end.

'Oh, well, I'll see you around, I guess.' Neville smiled, and left along with the rest of the Gryffindors.

* * *

Everyone vacated the Great Hall. Percy ran to find Harry as all of the students trudged up to their dormitories.

'Harry!' Percy finally caught up with him halfway up the moving stairs. Harry turned to look at him, and looked a little concerned.

'Oh, Percy! So... Hufflepuff!'

'Yeah,' he said. 'Do Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs have any classes together?'

'Umm...' Harry checked his timetable. 'We have Herbology and Transfiguration, but I don't see any others.'

'Okay. But we'll still see each other around the school or in free periods.' Percy suggested.

Harry looked at him. 'I saw you talking to Neville through the feast. Why, do you know him?' Percy smiled.

'Yeah,' he said, leaning in. 'He's a demigod. Son of Demeter. I met him at camp. There's a few other demigods here, actually. Luna Lovegood – do you know her? – she's a daughter of Iris. There used to be this guy, Cedric Diggory. I think you were... acquainted. He was a son of Hermes. And there might be others, too!'

Harry laughed, nervously. 'Does this mean I'm related to all these people?'

'Technically-' Percy started, but was interrupted as Hermione joined them.

'Hi, Harry, Percy–! Oh, Percy, what are you doing here?!' Hermoine said. 'The Hufflepuff Common Room is next to the kitchen, through the Great Hall. Where we just came from.' Percy froze.

'Aww, come on!' He turned and fled back down the stairs, bumping into many people in an effort to not get locked out.
