Quinn remained silent as she watched Sue Sylvester. They'd been in the office for what seemed like an eternity. Quinn was awaiting to hear the head mistress knock on the door, signaling their meetup was over, but there was nothing. Almost as if their time together was unlimited. The teenager gulped and scooted to the left, making her way to the door.
Sue caught on and let a devilish grin form on her face, before quickly pouting.
"Awe, you're trying to leave me? Am i that scary?"
Quinn shook her head, "You said i should be afraid."
Sue Sylvester shrugged and playfully smirked. She then gestured for Quinn to step away from the door. Quinn hesitated, but after Sue signaled for her to move away again, she did as she was asked. Fearing if she didn't listen, she'd be murdered. Though she knew she was going to be murdered either way.
"For a big school with such high security, you'd think they'd actually do their job," Sue said.
Sue walked over to the desk and took a seat in the head mistress's chair. Quinn anxiously watched from afar.
The room went quiet again. Quinn had no clue what to say, and Sue was enjoying the fear on Quinn's face.
It took a moment, but the teenager finally mustered up enough courage to speak up.
"If you want to kill me, why aren't you doing it now?" Quinn asked.
Sue Sylvester bit her lip as she held back a laugh. "It wouldn't be fun to kill you without frightening you first."
Quinn darted her eyes to the door then back to the older woman. If fear is what she's feeding off of, then perhaps Quinn needed to fight her worries and act as if she were stronger than her opponent?
The teenager stood taller and cleared her throat.
"You don't scare me. And you never have."
Sue seemed to think otherwise. "Now that's a fat lie. You aren't really good at lying you know?"
Before Quinn had a chance to reply, a knock finally interrupted them.
"Meeting's over. It's time for Quinn to go to class," The head mistress called out.
Mrs. Dean opened the door and instantly became offended when she noticed Sue Sylvester seated in her chair. Sue smiled and stood up.
Quinn was grateful for Mrs. Dean being there. She didn't know how much longer she'd be able to stay in the same room as Sue Sylvester.
Mrs. Dean slightly pushed Quinn out of the room, causing her to speed walk down the hallway to her classroom. A feeling of gratitude filled Quinn.
Mrs. Dean crossed her arms and sternly looked at Sue.
"You can't sit in my chair. Perhaps you should get going?" She said.
Sue nodded, and as Mrs. Dean and security were going to walk down the hall with her, Sue stopped in her tracks and smiled at everyone.
"I can walk myself out, don't worry. The door is right there after all."
Mrs. Dean rolled her eyes and waved Sue off. She and the security walked into her office, possibly to discuss some things. Sue walked down the hall toward the door, before stopping in her tracks and looking over her shoulders, to make sure no one was looking before she slipped into a storage unit by the door._____
The day carried on like you'd expect any day to at a correctional facility. Kids were profusely barked around, they were shoved, they got pushed to the ground, and they were forced to do uncanny things- all by the security guards.
Quinn and a few other students managed to be let off the hook, though. Although, they were ordered around just as much as everyone else.
After dinner, Quinn made her way back to her room and tiredly rubbed her eyes as she carefully sat down on her bed.
The day was cold, but bearable enough for the students to get by. Quinn tucked her knees into her chest while she stared off into space. The wall in front of her was as plain as anything. Aside from the padding, there was absolutely nothing to keep anyone entertained in their rooms.
Quinn didn't know how long she'd stayed seated like that, but before she knew it, she looked out her awfully tiny window to spot any clouds. But all the teenager was met with, was the night sky and stars flickering.
Quinn sighed and finally laid down onto her back.
"I wonder how everyone's doing?" Quinn said, questioning whether or not her friends were doing alright.
Time passed slowly, and just as Quinn was about to doze off, she heard her door squeaking open. Immediately, Quinn shot up and stared at the door as she watched the person walk into her room.
"You need to get out," Quinn angrily said.
The person shut the door and smiled at the young girl. "Oh, come on! You don't like me that much?" Sue said.
Quinn hopped off the bed and stared at Sue Sylvester. As her best friend would say, she was fully prepared to go all Lima Heights on Sue.
"How'd you get back in here?" Quinn anxiously asked.
"Never left. You know this school is a little pathetic. Every guard has left," Sue simply said.
"Well, you can leave now."
"I don't think i will," Sue replied and walked over to Quinn.
Quinn backed away, not taking her eyes away from Sue's. Sue was delighted to see Quinn fighting off the fear that was spread all over her face. It was almost like she had poured cooking oil all over herself and tried rubbing it off with bare hands. She couldn't hide she was scared, no matter how hard she tried.
"Are you going to kill me?" Quinn asked.
Sue rocked her head side to side, almost touching her shoulders with her ears as she contemplated on an answer.
"I think we already know the answer to that, don't we?" She said.
"Why?" Quinn narrowed her eyes.
"Why? Why, because you're the one that got away," Sue fought back a laugh.
Quinn bit her lip, "I'm not the only one who got away. You failed with one of your last murder attempts."
"I wasn't trying to kill Santana. I was just trying to... Scare her..." Sue grinned.
"Now, if you don't mind, I've had quite the conversation, but i think it's time to move things along. Would you do the honor of laying on your bed and pretending you're asleep while i profusely stab you?" Sue pulled out a knife from her back pocket.
Quinn aggressively shook her head. "Absolutely not! You're sick!"
Sue's smiled diminished, "I had a feeling you'd say no."
Sue walked over to Quinn while she quickly backed away. This time, making sure not to back herself up in a corner. The two switched places. Sue now in Quinn's spot, and Quinn standing by the door. Her exit.
Quinn walked backwards and reached for the doorknob, while maintaining eye contact with Sue. She twisted the doorknob and once the door squeaked open, Quinn forcefully swung it and bolted out of the room. Sue cackled, obviously she had intended for this to happen.
It wouldn't be fun to kill someone if there was no game involved, after all.
Sue slowly walked to the doorway and peeked out, she couldn't see Quinn, but she could hear her feet echoing throughout the building as they touched the ground.
The woman looked down at her wrist, imagining a watch there. Then she set her arm by her side, stretched her neck, stretched her legs, and took a deep breath in before exhaling. In a brisk movement, Sue had began sprinting down the hallway, following the practically soundless echoes now.
Quinn tried opening door after door, but they were all locked. The young girl was becoming out of breath and her feet ached from the ground. The further she ran, the less rooms appeared. She took turn after turn, stumbled on her feet, and even tried calling for help, but nothing but a gasp escaped her mouth.
Quinn reached the end of a hallway that had a singular door. Quinn twisted the door knob, and her to surprise, it opened. She opened the door all the way and was met with a spiraling staircase.
"Here goes nothing," Quinn gulped.
Quinn stepped inside and shut the door behind herself. She quietly crept up the stairs, anxious to see where the hidden stairs would take her.
