Stab Thirteen

Sirens blared through all the neighbourhoods as cop cars drove back n forth searching for the murderer of Mr. Schue. It had been four days since the teacher of McKinley was found dead, and within those four days, not a single murder has taken place. It was quite strange to say the least.
The townspeople did what they did best; gossip. They came up with bizarre scenarios. Such as the culprit having fled the town.
No one felt safe enrolling their child in William McKinley High anymore. There had been few too many murders on students and faculty. Even more kids' were rightfully so taken out of McKinley. Many teachers quit, too.
The school was quite literally falling apart by the second.
Lima Ohio didn't feel safe anymore- it wasn't safe. And no one knew how long it'd remain like that. Parents couldn't leave their house, or let their children leave the house, because they were too frightened for what may lurk around a corner.
As the sky began to change colours, the quieter the streets became. All that was heard were the police sirens.
The town was dimmed by an orange glare, as the sun had begun to set.
Every person locked their doors and windows.
Cops began knocking on doors.
The sky was now a nautical Twilight.
Officers began to turn ones back on the job, after getting nowhere.
The townspeople quickly grabbed a weapon or two for self defence.
As the minutes went on, the less cop cars were driving around, and the less officers were knocking on doors.
The sky was a dark midnight blue now.
All the street lights were on. Every so often they'd flicker.
The way the cops were doing their job; giving up on it when it hadn't even been a week, made the townspeople believe the investigation would end shortly, and the murderer would get away with their shameful crime.

I did a fairly quick chapter today. There's just been a lot going on right now, so I apologise for not having it set around the two main characters, or longer.
