Ultrasound

Fast forward a day and it's time for my scan.
We left Cara with Laura and made our way to the centre by 4.
"It's a consult too so they're going to ask some questions about how you're feeling and I want you to be honest okay baby girl"
"Uh huh daddy"
I smile as he puts his thumb in my mouth and I suck on it.
"I should get you a pacifier it would help to soothe you when you have nightmares"
I nod and he takes his thumb out of my mouth.
"Let's go in baby"
He signs me in since I'm too nervous to do it myself
I fill out some forms and hand them back.
"I got your name changed and Cara's to Jones."
"That's good"
The doctors comes out.
"Cassidy Jones"
I stand up and we walk in.
He holds my hand.
"So Cassidy I understand that you're 15."
She says
I nod my head as Parker holds my hand.
"I have some leaflets here for you so that you can know your options"
"I want to keep the baby"
"Are you sure?"
"Very"
She looks at me
"And your dad is happy with that?"
"Yep I am"
"Okay how have you been feeling recently? Any new symptoms?"
"I have had morning sickness quite frequently, I'm really tired and I can't stand the smell of my sister's dirty diapers."
She nods
"That's quite normal"
"Okay so I want you to pop up on the bed here for me please"
I hop up onto the bed and pull down my jeans a little ash she requests
"This may be a little cold. You can hold your dads hand if you like?"
She puts the gel on and I hold his hand as she starts to move the Doppler around
"You're exactly 12 weeks today!"
She smiles.
"Wow"
I hear the heartbeat and we both cry.
"There's twins!!"
"Oh my god!"
Parker exclaims.
"Aaaa"
I scream with excitement
"I'm just going to do a blood test on you and I can find out the babies gender that way for you if you'd like?"
"Sure"
I let her take the blood.
She comes back about two hours later.
"You've got....."
"Twin girls"
"Yayy!"
We both say with excitement
I stick the sonograms onto the fridge as Parker collects Cara
"Cara come here baby"
I say as I lie on the couch.
I put her on my lap
"Sissy has got two babies in her tummy."
"Two?"
She giggles
"That's her first word!!!"
I say with happiness.
She fiddles with her thumb.
"Baby say that again?"
"Two."
"Good job!!"
Parker smiles as he picks her up and spins her.
We put Cara to bed and we watch a movie.
