First and Ten

Chapter 16

I woke up remembering I was in Blair's bed but forgetting that she wasn't beside me until I rolled over to put my arms around her and was met with an empty spot. I reached for my phone to see it was only 5:30 but then heard the bedroom door open as Blair slipped into the room.

"Good morning."

"I thought you would still be sleeping. I was just coming to get dressed."

She gave me a kiss on my cheek and headed into the bathroom. I took about 30 minutes to work some slight stiffness out of my knee doing the light exercises the trainers had shown me before getting up and dressed and then found Blair at her bathroom counter. She was wearing fitted black pants and black stiletto pumps that made her already perfect ass look even better. Her cream colored sweater stopped just a little below the waistband of the pants so that as she lifted her arms to curl a section of her hair I could see her bare midriff.

"You look beautiful."

"Thanks. I have several meetings today about the benefit. The kids are going to hang out with my mom."

"Why don't I let them come hang out at my place? Leena would love having them to play with."

"I'd love for them to get to play with her, but wouldn't you rather have them here where there are lots of toys?"

"You have a point. Your house is a much better kid fun zone than mine. I have an even better idea. I'll get my mom and Leena to come here so that she can visit with your mom again, and I will go with you to the meetings for the benefit. It's a win win for all. Mom has been wanting to get together with your mom again, Leena will love having kids to play with, and I can spend time with you while also feeling useful."

"You are just full of cleverness so early in the morning. That sounds like a good plan. My mom really enjoyed spending time with your mom, so she'll be glad to get to do that again. What about your dad?"

"I'll tell him he can come too and watch football with your dad. What kind of meetings do we have?"

"The first is a 7:00 breakfast meeting with the caterer who is the second best option."

"Why second best?"

"Obviously Bri is the best, but I told her that I wanted her to be able to enjoy the benefit not work it."

"Oh okay," I laughed.

"The second meeting is about flowers, and the third is about gift bags. Are you really sure you wouldn't rather stay here and watch football?" she asked with a smirk.

"I'm sure. We need a day together."

I walked behind her and put my hands on her hips kissing her cheek which gave me a nice look at her cleavage prompting me to move my hands upward, but Blair spun around. "As much as I would absolutely love to let you completely ravage me right now, you know we can't."

"Your kids could come in at any moment meaning we must be responsible adults."

"That is a good point too. But what I was going to say is that you have only been released for light activity, and we both know that when we have sex, it is definitely more than light activity," she teased with a kiss to my neck making me want her even more.

Once I reigned in my hormones from her parting statement, I went and sat down in the kitchen where Blair was making coffee and sent a text to my parents telling them to come to Blair's and where to find the keys to my SUV since I was in my sports car. Blair handed me a cup which I gladly took still feeling mentally exhausted from the previous day.
