Blair
I woke in Jax's arms enjoying feeling safe and comfortable, and then I remembered that this gorgeous man had told me that he loved me. Jax Elliot loved me!
"Good morning, gorgeous."
I turned in his arms and kissed his lips wanting nothing more than to show him again how much I loved him in return.
After a shower, I put on a little makeup before I dried and curled my hair then pulled on some Lululemon leggings that I got on Poshmark for half the cost with a matching sports bra and one of Jax's quarter zip sweatshirts. I joined him downstairs where he had insisted on making breakfast because he didn't have to be at the airport to pick up his parents and Leena until later that afternoon, and JB had taken my kids to school. For some reason that I forgot in all the happiness of Jax telling me he loved me, they didn't have practice today either.
Jax was cooking in nothing but a pair of athletic pants making me want to forget breakfast all together.
"How was your shower?"
"Lonely," I teased.
"I was tempted; believe me," he smiled seductively.
I walked around the island and gave him a quick kiss on his broad shoulder before going to pour a cup of coffee. "Breakfast smells wonderful."
"We've got egg white omelets, fruit, and coffee that I hope is at least half as good as Bri's."
"Bri's is tough to beat, but yours comes with perks," I winked kissing his other shoulder before going to sit on a barstool on the other side where I liked to watch him cook.
He finished minutes later then came around to sit beside me with two plates of delicious food.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. I like getting to cook for you and us not feel rushed."
"Me too. Our schedules have definitely been crazy lately."
"Well, no more full weeks without seeing each other. Once we tell the kids that we are dating, it will get a little easier. I can't wait for you to meet Leena and my parents."
"I look forward to it. I guess you should meet my parents too since you love me and all," I smiled.
"Damn right I do," he assured leaning over to kiss me. "Do you want to go with me to pick them up tonight?"
"No. Y'all enjoy some time together."
"Why don't you, the kids, and your parents come to an early dinner over here tomorrow night and then all watch the game from my box on Sunday."
"Are you sure you want to do dinner here the night before a game? What about your routine and having to go to the hotel? How about lunch at my house instead? I'll invite Bri, JB, and Emelise too since Bri said Leena likes to play with Em."
"Sounds like a plan. What can I do to help?"
"Nothing. I'll take care of everything."
"You are wonderful. I feel like I don't tell you that enough. The benefit is shaping up to be amazing, you have handled the Camila situation with grace and class, your blog and social media are doing great despite all the extra stuff added to your schedule, and you are still finding time to be an attentive and supportive girlfriend."
"You're sweet, but you make it sound like it has all been easy. I'm exhausted I assure you," I laughed.
"Maybe we should go back to bed," he crooned.
