Just as we had gotten back to Nashville, celebrated the Wildcat Super Bowl win, and gotten back into our routine, it was time to get ready for our trip to Greece. Jax's doctor said the tear had definitely gotten slightly worse but that he could hold off on surgery until after we got back. It bothered him some but didn't seem to limit him from doing much of anything as long as he iced it and listened to his body.

Bri and I had been shopping and outfit planning like crazy the week before we left making sure we had the perfect attire for any and every outing the boys could have planned. We also made sure that we had all the kids school clothes laid out for the whole week we were gone as well as having plenty of groceries for breakfasts, school lunches, dinners, and snacks knowing our moms had lots of things planned to do together with the kids as well. I had never been away from them for a whole week and was a little sad about leaving them for that long the closer it got to our departure date.

Jax and I met for lunch the day before we were scheduled to fly out, and knowing me as well as he did, he could tell I was thinking about it and asked, "You are anxious about leaving the kids tomorrow aren't you?"

"Yes. It isn't because I don't trust my mom or anything, obviously, but I've never been away for more than two or three days. That doesn't mean I'm not extremely excited to go on this trip with you though," I smiled.

"I haven't taken a trip like this in a long time. Everywhere I've gone in the last several years has always had some sort of work element to it. I can't wait to relax with you and get to focus on just us."

"Do we even know how to focus on just us and not work?" I questioned with a laugh.

"We are going to try. I think we'll be better at it than we think," he answered with a suspicious grin.

Jax went with me to pick the kids up from school and stayed for dinner, much to their delight, but I kissed him goodbye soon after telling him I would see him in the morning when he picked me up for our flight before snuggling up in my bed with both kids for a movie. I had promised them they could sleep with me so I could cuddle them a little extra before I left. I was going to miss my babies, but I also couldn't wait to spend a week with the man I love and my best friends exploring a place I had always dreamed of visiting.

We met Bri and JB at the airport the next morning and promptly went to get coffee once we were through security.

"Are you excited?" Bri asked while we were in line to order for us and the boys who were sitting at a small table working.

"I am! Greece is one of my dream vacations. Do you remember that amazing Greek restaurant we happened upon in Detroit that night?"

"That place was to die for! I bet every little cafe in Santorini is just as good though. I would love to learn more about cooking Greek food because I can't ever seem to get it to taste exactly like I want it to."

"No better place to learn," I laughed.

We took hot coffee back to the boys and sipped our own while we waited for time to board what would be my first, long international flight. Jax was busy with what looked like an endless amount of emails that he was deeply engrossed in, but I hoped he would finish up soon so that he wouldn't have to work every day that we were on vacation.

My jaw dropped as we got on the plane when I saw the first class seats we had been assigned within our own private pod that seemed more like a private room. I knew the others had done this whole first class thing before, but it was my first time evidenced to all by my failure to hold in my astonishment at how fancy and comfortable everything was. Jax was clearly amused at my fascination. "It's nice isn't it?"
