It wasn't one of those surprise parties, father knew he was getting a birthday party from mom because mom does this for him every year. The house wasn't full, it was family and close friends only. That being Luchelle's parents, Amber and her family of 3, Jen and her parents, Andrew and Megan, there was 14 of us I think. These things are normally big if dad is completing your typical 50th or something and there's also some great achievement business-wise. Dad finally arrived and the party started. We all sat at the table in the dining room and had a feast, after lunch my friends and I went to chill by the pool area and had some drinks while chatting about stuff. I was avoiding my father at all costs.
Jen: so you and Mahle?
Me: what about us?
Meg: yeah what about them Jen?
Jen: haven't you guys been seeing this idiots D.p's on BBM?
Me: oh come on Jen
Her: you two are dating!
I don't know whether that was a question or statement
Me: oh?!
Meg: what? when did it start?
Andrew: you and these Xhosa girls
Her: there's something about em that draws him to them
Meg: they sweethearts that's for sure
Me: oh kay this conversation is over!
Him: so sis. You and Jo?
Her: what about us?
Him: you know what I mean
Her: he has a baby. What more do you want to know?
Him: I think you overreacted
Meg: really Andrew???
Him: Its true babe. Jen loves Jo and he loves her too
Me: Andrew kind of has a point thou. You love Jo regardless
Meg: would you continue dating Amahle if you found out she had a baby?
Me: who said we dating?
Meg: I'm asking rhetorically
Her: good question Meg
Him: Jo loves you. Yes, he has a baby but he only just found out about the kid
Her: can you honestly say that he just found out? You knew damn well that that baby existed.
Me: come on Jen
Her: no Damon. Andrew had a picture of this child in his phone and when I asked him about him, he said it was a colleague's child
Meg: you knew?
Me: dude really?
Him: I wanted to tell her but it was not my place
Her: how long have you known?
Him: been a year now. I'm sorry sis
Me: and you kept this from me?
Him: I know how close you and my sister are mahn
Me: she's still your sister mahn and you two share the same blood, personally I think you should have told her
Her: thanks Dae. So much for being siblings Andrew
Him: I'm sorry ok! I wanted to so hard but Jo is my friend
Meg: ok. Time out! What's done is done you guys.
