I don't even want to go to the mid-summer party. Aspen and Sage are excited, but I'm not feeling it. I'm still really pissed off at Asher for leading me on then cheating on me.

I decide what I was going to do: 1) I am going to uphold my reputation and go to the party. 2) I am going to make Asher jealous. 3) I am going to have a good time, even if there are supervisors there.

I walk out of the cabin fully ready to party. I have my shorts, random/fancy-ish shirt, and my red converse on. My hair is curled and my makeup is definitely on point.

I walk to the party, but don't see Aspen or Sage.

Weird...

I look for Asher. I am done with his shit. When I don't see him after searching the whole party, I go to the clearing.

What do you know, he is there. Asshat.

He is playing with something in the grass. I walk closer and realize it was a.. dandelion...???

"What are you doing" I ask.

"Nothing"

"Why aren't you at the party"

"I don't know"

"Truth"

"Had no one to go with, I wanted to go with you but you never answered my texts." he says.

"That's because I blocked your number. I thought we had something, clearly I was wrong because you like to make out with random girls at the lake. So if this is how you really are, I guess I was wrong about you, so just stay out of my life would you."

With that I walk away...

I don't even care about the party anymore. Aspen and Sage seem happy with their lives right now, so I shall be be happy for them.

Speaking of Aspen and Sage I haven't really seen them at all today. Should I be worried? Should I call them? Nah I can't, they never answer their phones.

I walk on, still pondering in my thoughts. I walk to the lake and sit on the edge. The water has this cool rippling effect. I know it was one of the fish.

The sun is going down and it is getting dark. There is a white reflection off the lake. Someone was coming, but who?

Why would they be at the lake with a flashlight when there's a perfectly good party over the hill???

"Hey, what are you doing moping around the lake when you could be at the party?" A deep, yet velvety voice calls from behind me.

I don't turn around, I just continue to look out upon the lake as I speak.

"Got bored. Don't care. Got cheated on. All the usual, unnecessary teenage drama. What about you why aren't you at the party?"

"Well that sucks. I got elected to scope out the edge of the lake and make sure there's no teenagers doing the "dirty" on the lake shore." he says while adding emphasis on he word dirty.

I laugh. The first real laugh I've had in a while. He comes and sits down next to me by the lake. I look at him for the first time.
He is taller than me, with black hair and blue eyes. He has very chiseled features. He looks like he just walked out of an Abercrombie store.

"Wanna help me look around the lake?" He asks with an almost pleading look.

"Sure Abercrombie." I reply smiling.

"Why did you call me Abercrombie?"

"Because you look like you just walked out of an Abercrombie store. Duhh." I say taking pride in my answer.

"Do you think I'm good looking, I can roll with that." he says laughing.

This is where I gasp out of horror.

"Lies I never said that" I defend.

"But you implied it."

"How did I imply it?"

"Everyone knows all the Abercrombie models are good looking" he says.

We continue defending our points until we are done searching around the lake.

"Will I see you again?" He asks me.

"I will be around. here's my number." I put my number in his phone.

I start walking away, when realization hit me.

"What's your name?" I ask curiously.

"Galen."
