I get home and sit at the kitchen table, determined to get some of my summer homework done. I am half way done with the science, when my mom came through the door."Hey!" I say getting up to help her with the groceries.
"Homework?" She asks.
"Sadly."
I put the brown paper bags on the table and went back to my homework. I've always thought summer homework was the worst kind. It's like the teachers don't get you have a social life too. Well, I have some. Not much.
My mom comes back downstairs and was carrying a large duffel bag. I get up and look at her with curiosity.
"What's that for?" I ask.
"Well..." she says dragging out the word.
"Mom..." I say in a warning tone.
"Well... you're... you're going to camp!"
My mouth dropped. I was stunned. Camp! "For like a couple of days or what?" I ask.
She looked like she was hiding something. "You may or may not be going to Camp Peimacee."
The whole summer... at... camp. What kind of parent does that!! Ug. I didn't want to disappoint my mom so I just smile and hug her tightly. I am going to this camp for my mom's sake. Whether I want to or not.

I look out the window of the car. The bus is sitting at the curb. I look back at my mom and sigh."You know you don't have to go of you don't want to. I'll just-"
"Mom. I'll go. I wanna go." I lie.
I open the door and grab my two bags. I look around at all the people standing around. A lot of blondes. Well this'll be fun. Not. I walk to a bench by the bus waiting for them to take my duffel bag.
I need friends if I was going to survive this hell hole, so I look around. There are so many with ridiculously short shorts. They're off the list. There isonly one blonde with a semi-modest outfits. I keep looking around to spot another person, and I see a brunette. She has typical summer clothes on. She breaths in, like she was excited for this. I won't be able to play my music for TWO AND A HALF WHOLE MONTHS. I'm gonna go crazy.
Finally, the bus driver yells for us all to get on the bus. Trying to avoid the stampede, I push my way to the front and got one of the only reclining seats. I sit my draw-string bag on the ground and pull out my AP European book out. It was apart of my homework. I have to read this whole thing this summer, and I'm not going to get it done if I don't do it now.
After a while, a boy sits down next to me. He has blonde hair, dark eyes, and these huge arms muscles that seemed fit for only a football player. I look over at the other set of seats next to me, and there's that brunette. She's staring at the guy sitting next to me with a longing look. Every once in a while she will shoot me looks of warning. Yeah, like I would ever date a guy that only cares about sports and popularity.
This is going to be a long summer.
