It's been four years. I began this fanfiction during my sophomore year of high school. I always had a special place in my heart for this story, even as I grew older and felt a little bit embarrassed about being an adult who still wrote Pokémon fanfiction.
Now, as I am ending my final semester at university, I have reached an end to this story. I feel free, in a strange way. I have so many projects, so many stories that are not fanfictions whirling around my head. I'm always writing, always thinking about characters. One day, I hope to publish those stories. If and when that happens, maybe I'll make another update, an announcement telling you about the new book, what it's called, and my pen name. I tend to spend a lot more time on my actual books than I do on fanfiction, so maybe you like those even more. That's the plan, anyway.
I'm sorry this wasn't the overtly romantic fanfiction that I originally planned it to be. I've always been better at writing sibling relationships than romantic relationships, something you'll see when I eventually update you about that future novel. So, I guess I got caught up in that pattern again.
I want to give you a special thanks if you are reading this. When I uploaded a chapter after leaving this fanfiction dormant for two whole years, I was pleasantly surprised to see people commenting with their excitement that I had returned. That makes me feel better than you'll ever realize. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Now, I bid you all farewell until I hopefully see you again. It's time for me to move on to bigger things. Thank you for sticking with me throughout the years.
