"When the sun sets,
And the dusk grows,
Decisions of regret
Will unfold."But, when the moon rises,
And four stars have shown,
Heaven will crowd with cries
And vengeance will claim its throne."One star with a challenge bold,
Will stand up for a daring fight,
Against a creature so cold;
A war between dark and light."And when the battle is deceased,
Victory will befall the beast."That's what the prophecy said, and Moon knew its premonitions to be true.
The sun set; Sun died.
The dusk grew; as long as Sun was gone, the world would always be cold.
Decisions of regret unfolded; Moon regretted many things... everyday, she wished she had been a better sister.
The moon rose; Moon became Alola's champion.
The four stars; well... they were all standing beside Moon.
Heaven will crowd with cries and vengeance will claim its throne; Mewtwo wanted to tear them apart, limb from limb.
One star with a challenge bold will stand up for a daring fight against a creature so cold... a war between dark and light; They stared that war in the face like knights fighting for their king.
And when the battle is deceased, victory will befall the beast...
That hadn't happened yet. That couldn't happen. Not yet. Not ever. Not in this lifetime, nor the next. Moon would fight this beast for the rest of eternity if it meant Sun could live peacefully in his next story.
"Hello, my stars." As the words left the beast's mouth, the blood of its prey ran cold. It eyed the bandaged arms and hands of Lucario and the teens. "I'm so glad you could finally make it. The spearows weren't too much trouble were they?"
Moon found herself stepping forward, albeit shakily. She took the deepest breath of her life, grounding herself and balling her fists at her side. "We don't want to hurt you, Mewtwo. I'm not sure what my father did to you, but I promise we can make things right."
The beast cackled lowly. "Oh, but I want to hurt you. I want to hurt him." He was referring to Apollo Orion, the man who had suffered far too much already. Then, the beast's eyes glowed with a burning intensity. Behind it, a cascade of rocks levitated into the air. "There is NOTHING you can do to fix what happened."
Before many of them could blink, the rocks flew towards them. The battle had begun, and now they were forced to fight it.
All of the teens scattered out of the way, only narrowly dodging some of the larger boulders. Lucario didn't bother to run, his body simply jumping up and releasing a deafening kick that shattered the boulder heading for him.
Hau released his decidueye; Gladion his silvally; Green his vensusuar; and Moon her incineroar. The battle really had begun. Together, each teen and their partner delivered any blows they could to the beast, trying to subdue the monster, or render it unconscious, or maybe even kill it. They acting coordinated in their decisions, as four teens fighting for their lives often do. At one point, Hau thought he had pinned the beast to a tree with one of decidueye's arrows. It proved to be a futile deduction, for Mewtwo was free in seconds. In another instance, Gladion thought silvally was about to tear out beast's throat. However, that too was a matter of wishful thinking. And, in a matter of minutes, the tables had turned on them. One by one, the beast knocked out every Pokémon except for Lucario. It let loose a cackle that filled the forest like a dry wind, enveloping the teens until their bones shivered. Then, with a rise of its paw, all of them were lifted into the air and each thrown into a tree.
