I could feel myself being moved, wiggling my fingers and I soon realised I was in some sort of wheelchair.

My whole body ached, and I struggled not to groan under the pain.

I couldn’t hear anyone besides the person wheeling me and made the conscious effort to open my eyes.

I couldn’t have been out long; my shirt was still wet with blood and a bit of vomit.

I gathered some strength and pulled the brakes, quickly covering the woman’s mouth as she screamed and putting her in a headlock as she struggled, flinching every time she jabbed at my ribs before she eventually fell loose.

I pulled her into an empty room and switched our clothes, finding my glasses in her pocket.

“Jarvis where are we at?”

“Iron suit has been deployed, Mr Barnes has yet to reach the team. You have been unconscious for roughly 13 minutes” I rubbed a hand over my face as I tried to focus my mind.

“Do you know what they put in me? I feel kind of out of it”

“My assumption would be a fast-acting sedative”

“Cool, keep the suit hidden until my que okay?” I felt like I’d just smoked or something, Jesus. I slapped my face a few times before heading out.

I finally reached the room the others were in, almost falling into it as I pushed it open.

"Soldier, you are not permitted to be here."

A man stated from his place at his little desk, rising with his hand over his gun.

“Dr Kivetsky is asking for you, something to do with The Soldier. I am to watch over your post until you return”

He seemed doubtful, and I prayed he would take the bait before my legs gave out, everything feels heavy and a little hazy around the edges.

"Fucks sake"

He sighed, muttering angrily to himself as he made his way out the door, I listened for a few seconds before I locked it. letting out a breath.

“Jarvis, get eyes on Barnes and see if there’s a quick way out of here” I moved towards the glass wall which separated me from the team.

“Holy shit”

They looked like crap, I don’t think they could hear or see me because they didn’t once look up as I entered. But they were talking to each other which was a good sign.

I tapped on the glass, testing if it was breakable and saw a couple heads look my way.

So, they could hear that.

There wasn’t a noticeable door anywhere in sight, so I took out my gun, it definitely wasn’t bulletproof. And it was quick.

I aimed towards the wall to the right, far away from them and fired, the glass shattering between us.

“Alex” a sigh of relief echoed around the room as I hurried towards the nearest person, Nat.

“What the hell happened to you guys” I asked as I began to cut away at the ties with my knife.

“Well, we went to Morocco and a car exploded on us, next thing we know we wake up in a van.” Sam explained as Nat began helping me, eventually getting everyone free.

“Yeah, and we were in Norway when we were ambushed, again, waking up in a van heading here.”

“it was crazy, one minute we were there and the next-“ Peter caught sight of my face and frowned, hand reaching up to touch my neck softly.

“I hope the other guy looks worse.”

“It was Bucky, accidentally.”

This caught the attention of the others, especially Steve.

“You saw Bucky? Why did he hit you?”

“It was my fault, they had him in the chair and I moved in to touch him too fast. He’s okay though, I think. Jarvis is guiding him this way”

I received a few blank stares.

“Did anyone get any of that?”

I furrowed my eyebrows at Tony, repeating what I said but slower and clearer and they got the message.

My mind went back to the needle, and I couldn’t help but bring it up, I explained to them about the lady, and the injection and me blacking out.

“It sounds like a sedative.” Clint suggested optimistically.

“that’s what Jarvis said”

“Wait how did Jarvis know?” I tapped my glasses and Tony peered into the lenses.

“Do you mind if I?” I gave them to him, Peter slinging his arm over my shoulder with a sigh.

“We can’t stay here much longer, that guard will be back soon”

A loud crash sounded along with a roar and the lights changed to red.

“Yeah, about that” I trailed off.

“You called Bruce?”

“He was my last resort”
We all turned to the door as it swung open, thankfully revealing Bucky.

“What took you so long?”

“I got side-tracked, everyone okay?”

“Yeah, apart from Bruce being on the lose”

We decided that our best way out was to try and reach the room where all their suits were taken to and go from there, seeing as they were busy with the hulk it didn’t take long for us to get there.
