"If happy is her, I'm happy for you."

TONIGHT was your album release party. You were beyond nervous. Not only were you going to sing a song you wrote for your ex, Michael, but you were even more nervous because he was also attending.

Staring into the mirror, you didn't realize Dontai and Danielle walked into your dressing room.

"Girl, are you sure you're ready for this?" Danielle asks as she takes a seat next to you.

You snap out of your trance and look over at her, slowly nodding, a hint of uncertainty taking over. You sigh and nibble on your bottom lip, images of Michael flooding your mind.

"Y-yeah..I just want him to know how I feel just this one time. It's time for me to move on. I can't continue to still be in love with him after he's already moved on— I'm only hurting myself."

Nando nods his head silently, agreeing with you,"Does this mean you'll stop hanging with us?"

You chuckle and shake your head,"I won't stop hanging out with you guys, but I probably won't always be around every time y'all get together. Don't worry, we're all for lifers."

You give them both a hug, and excuse yourself and head to the restroom. Walking down the empty hallway, you hear that familiar laugh, the one that made your heart flutter. You curse under your breath and peak around the corner and see Michael, Randy and Tito standing by the restrooms. You haven't seen Michael face to face in three weeks since the break up and he still looked the same—hell, maybe even better.

"You can do this." You mumble, giving yourself a small pep talk.

Before you could turn the corner, Rico tells you that you have less than 5 minutes before the party starts. You thank him and quickly make your way into the bathroom, ignoring their presence.

Slipping into one of the stalls, you handle your business, soft hums leaving your mouth.

The party finally started and you were greeting all of your friends, family, and fans (from streaming). You make your way over to Rico and give him a huge huge, thankful for him helping you put together the party.

"Agh thank you, Rico for helping me put this together. This means a lot to me."

Rico was like a big brother to you and you were forever grateful for him, not matter how bad you wanted to punch him at times. You all talk for a little while before it was time for you to get on stage, give your speech and perform.

Grabbing the microphone, you clear your throat,"Thank you all for coming out to support me on this fine night. This has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl and now here I am..releasing my first album. Before I begin, I wanna give a huge shoutout to Rico for helping me put this together, because without him, this would've probably been a shit show." Clearing your throat once again, you feel a lump form in your throat as you continued,"The song I'll be performing is dedicated to someone I've known for a long time....someone that meant..well means the world to me."

You take a quick glance at Michael, you eyes stinging as tears threatened to fall. You tear your attention away from him and close your eyes, the music beginning to play.
