Promise 1;

❝I Promise I'll never hurt you❞

January 1, 1975

That was the day Michael confessed his undying love for you. Although, you shared the same feelings for him, you were scared.

You were scared that he was gonna break your heart, leaving you to suffer.

Promise 2;

August 27, 1976

❝I promise I'll always Love you❞

"Promise you'll always love me" You softly spoke, straddling his lap, your head buried in the crook of his neck, "I promise, babygirl."

"Promise?" You pouted, sticking your pinky finger out. He chuckled and wrapped his larger pinky around yours, "I promise."

"I Love you" You sighed, relaxing in his lap, "I really do."

Promise 3;

March 21, 1977

❝I Promise I'll never leave you❞

Tears flooded your eyes as you held your daughter in your arms. You were 8 months pregnant when you miscarried. Due to complications with your body, your body wasn't strong enough to go through this. Even though You both wanted a family, that dream came crashing down, But Michael promised he'd never leave you.

April 13, 1978

Things have gone downhill after your miscarriage. Arguments after arguments, Things being thrown, and hurtful Words being said.

"Look," He spoke, eyeing the carpet, "I think we need to take a break.."

He finally looked you in the eyes, his eyes free of any emotions. This is what you were afraid of. "B-but what about the promises you made?!"

He shrugged his shoulders, "Promises are meant to be broken."

This is what you were afraid of. You were afraid of being hurt, you were afraid of being heartbroken. You prayed that things wouldn't end like this, but wishes don't always come true.

"Get out." You chocked out, sobs racking through your body.

"I'm so-"

"I don't care" You mumble, "Just get out."

"— You and those broken promises" You added. You watched him walk out the door, slamming it behind him.
