"How does he not look real to you, Charlie?" Jessica asked, and Charlie explained, "His eyes were like he was a soul in a corpse, glossed over. And, where did he get the money to buy his nice clothes?" Jessica sighed, "You have to stop doubting him. Maybe the reason he has 'glossy' eyes is because he wasn't feeling well, maybe he has low iron. And, the reason he has the money to buy nice clothes is that he got a new job writing for a magazine," Jessica paused, "Maybe you would know that if you actually came around more often. After all that he's been through, how can you expect him to act the same?" Her words were like a slap to the face, how could she possibly say that?

When they returned to Jessica's apartment, Jessica immediately went to her room, not speaking another word to Charlie that night, Charlie just flopped on the couch, ready for another sleepless night.

"Raise it a few more degrees." A man said from a corner of a barely lot room. The woman hesitated at first, "But you told me it could affect the metal." The woman said, but the man brushed it off, raising his voice slightly. "I said do it." His voice rasped. The woman's white metal fingers touched the dial, cranking the degrees up a few degrees. The man observed the monitor, then spoke again, "Raise it two more degrees." The woman looked at him, it seemed his frail body was about to collapse in the chair. "It will hurt them." She worried, and the man's voice rasped again, "They will become useful. Just like you."

"HEY, CHARLIE!" Jessica yelled, and Charlie woke from her slumber. She forgot that Jessica was on her spring break now, and she got up. "WHATTTT.." She said tiredly, following the sound of Jessica's voice. "John's on the phone, he wants you to talk." Jessica spoke, handing the phone to Charlie. "Hey, John.." Charlie spoke into the phone, While she was talking to John an idea sparked in her mind. She was going to test him. "So...John. Would you like to go on a date with me tomorrow night?" Charlie asked, cringing at her words.

"Sure, seven tomorrow night at the Thai place?" He replied, and Charlie agreed, hanging up the phone. Jessica looked at her, "What are you planning to do, Charlie?" She asked, sounding skeptical. "I just want to go on a nice date with John, that's it..." Charlie lied, and Jessica lowered her eyebrows, obviously suspicious. "I need help to pick out an outfit, though." Charlie added. Jessica agreed, nodding with clear excitement. "I think another dress will really bring out your body structure." Jessica put her hand to her chin. "You could've just said curves." Charlie grinned, "The thing is, you don't necessarily have...curves.." She teased, and we laughed together. Jessica opened her dresser drawer, still laughing with Charlie. After a few minutes, she pulled out a dark red dress, with once again, no sleeves, but it had black embroidery at the end of the dress. But the fabric was stretch-able, and Charlie and Jessica were about the same size.

"Want to try it on?" Jessica questioned, and this time, Charlie took it without hesitation. Jessica left the room, shutting the door behind her. Charlie sat down on the bed, letting the dress rest in her lap. She thought about everything leading up to John's "death". She could've saved him. Only if the cops hadn't pulled her away. She sighed, her eyes watering from the traumatic memories.

As John was being pulled into the chest cavity of Twisted Freddy, he screamed and kicked his legs, trying to pry out of the grasp of the animatronic. Though, it was useless. He didn't stand a chance against the metal of the animatronic. He was screaming at Charlie to let go, as she was being lifted off her feet as well, following John to the same cruel fate. "I would rather lose my life than risk losing yours, Charlie. Let go!" Charlie squeezed his hand tightly as he was being closed into the cavity. Was this it? What would she possibly do without John. "I promise I won't let go." Charlie said finally. Charlie could barely hear his frantic breathing, "I'll get you out, John, I promise!" She said. Blood was welling out of the visibly part of John's arm, if he got out, he would need to be hospitalized for months. Charlie thought. "Charlie..." John's soft voice spoke, "I love you. But you need to let go..." The springlocks snapped, and Charlie's tears came flowing out like a waterfall. "John!" She shook the limp hand, but it was no use. He was gone. The police officers grabbed her arms, dragging her halfway out before she squirmed away. "He's going to be okay! We have to save him!" She ran back into the scene, and she saw John's mother, whom she never met, holding John's limp hand. Charlie gasped, before getting pulled out of the collapsing house.

Jessica knocked on the door, "Are you done in there yet?" She asked, and Charlie replied, "Not yet!"

After slipping into the dress, seeing that it fit, Charlie awkwardly slipped out of the door. "It looks so stupid, I know.." Charlie didn't dare to meet Jessica's gaze, but Jessica squealed.

"You look amazing, Charlie. John will be amazed when you walk into the restaurant like that!" Charlie frowned before she looked up at Jessica, and then pasted a fake smile on.

"Yeah, thanks for letting me borrowing this dress." Jessica nodded, letting Charlie back in the room. Charlie went back into the spare room, putting her regular clothes back on. She folded the dress neatly, hanging it on her arm as she walked out of the apartment and into her car.
