"Charlie..." John whispered through the rubble, as Charlie struggled over the foundation of the collapsing house. She was determined to save John, even if it took her own life. All around her, police were yelling at her to get out, they were all going to be crushed soon. "Charlie...." His voice went again, Charlie could tell by his voice that he was getting weaker. Charlie's eyes welled up with tears, making her vision blurry. If she couldn't save John, then what? What will happen then? Charlie pushed past all the rubble, moving the concrete foundation with her hands, scraping them up to the point they were bleeding. She could hear footsteps behind her, but she didn't bother to turn around. Suddenly, someone grabbed her wrist, forcibly dragging her out of the place. She squirmed in the strong man's grip, yelling and screaming that John was going to die. And then, the old oak tree fell over, and the house collapsed.

"JOHN!" Charlie lifted her head up, and everyone in the lecture hall was staring at her. The professor looked down at her, obviously displeased.

"Charlie Emily.. This is the 15th time you fell asleep in my class this month. Get out, you're expelled." Charlie gasped, but she picked her bag up, not wanting to cause a scene by arguing back. Filled with shame, Charlie walked through the halls of her college, taking it all in. She would never graduate college, because she's so scared to go to sleep at night. All she dreams about anymore is John's "death" She had gotten halfway across the campus until she ran into Jessica.

"Hey, Charlie! Did you hear Carlton is back for spring break?" Charlie looked up, wiping the hair out of her face. "And.. I heard that Carlton said he invited John, this is your time to catch up with him!" Charlie put her head down, ready to walk away, when Jessica caught her arm. "Charlie. You have to talk to him sometime." Jessica said, and Charlie pulled her arm away, looking up at her. "No I don't. That is not John. I swear it." Jessica looked Charlie up and down in disgust. "You don't know how much he has been through Charlie. This..This 'thing' you're doing.. That's what's killing him!"

"I saw him die, Jessica."

"Just come and be there tonight. He'll appreciate it." Jessica strode off to her next class, and Charlie was left alone again.
