"So, the big, great lions found us and finally broke the law..." The hyena in the middle sneered. "We're here for a..." Horizon started but trailed off when Feather shot him a glare as if to say, 'Don't give any information.'

Mythic shuddered. Can they fight them? Will they win? How advanced is the hyenas? There is clearly a dozen of panting hyenas, but Winged lions are better fighters. Mythic took a step forward and said, "How did you find us?" His voice was shaking.

The hyena smiled. "That," She said, "is none of your business. The question is, why are you in our territory?"

Feather looked stern. Eagle glanced at her as if he was asking, 'Do we attack?' "It was...an accident, we promise." Horizon stammered. The hyena's smile widened. "Oh, is that so? ATTACK!" She screeched. Mythic leaped, he was not expecting that, but he jumped at a hyena anyways. "Take them down, hyenas, make yourself useful! Drive them out!" The leader howled, although she was not fighting herself.

Feather realised that as well as Mythic, so she lunged her body right at the hyena. The hyena shrieked. "Get her!" She cried with fury as seven hyenas jumped for Feather. "No!" Mythic roared. He pulled himself forward, sinking his teeth into a hyena's fur. It whimpered as he threw him on the ground. One down, six to go. He thought furiously. But Feather already pulled two off, striking for another. "Argh! Did a meerkat train you how to fight these days?" The leader screamed. "Attack like a real hyena, Meerkat droppings!" She cursed as she. Mythic winced as a hyena whimpered, "But if we're Meerkat droppings...why did a meerkat teach its own poop to do fighting?" The leader snarled but was drowned in a roar of laughter from every animal.

Horn hyenas can grow their teeth sharper and bigger, or grow a horn on their fur anywhere, or make them disappear.

The leader grew a giant sharp horn on her forward head, and she lowered her head, aiming for Feather's throat while Feather thumped one hyena on the ground. Oh no. Mythic knew he had to do something...but what? "Lunar! Eagle! Help me!" He yelled over the battling noises. Lunar scratched a hyena's eye and ran to Mythic. Eagle shot a spear out of his wings, right on hyena's claw. It howled as Eagle flapped to them. "What?" He panted. Mythic pointed at the leader, who's taking a step back, ready to run. "Can you shoot a comet to snap that horn off? Eagle and I will distract her." HE said. They nodded and took off. The female hyena's already speeding toward Feather, but Mythic pulled her back and Eagle stepped on her hind claws.

"OWW! RRR!" She growled, turning her head at Mythic's heart. Uh-oh.

Mythic ducked his head, and then, a comet zoomed out, snapping the hyena's horn off, and it landed on the ground with a clank.

"Thanks Lunar!" Mythic called. Suddenly, the hyena sneered. A new horn grew back on her forward head, only bigger and sharper this time. Oh dang,

I forgot about that. Mythic thought glumly. He jumped out of the way as the hyena plunged forward. "Look out!" He screamed at Eagle as a hyena with mouth opened charged behind him. Eagle spung around and hissed, shooting a spear at him. It missed, but the hyena got distracted and looked at it. Sapphire bit into his back and thumped him on the ground.

Who is winning this battle? When will it end? He thought as his set the nearest hyena on fire. Of course it will end, what a question, Mythic. But when? He sighed. Battles are awful. So awful. He would prefer the vision then this, at least it was not real, only in the future.

My friends could die! Nope, Mythic had vowed he'd never let that happen...but what if it did? The stars and the moon won't forgive me. He lunged for the hyenas, but then, he saw lying on the ground was Lunar and Horizon.

Then something smacked his head, and darkness rushed pass him, swallowing him down.
